What is the best single-location movie according to Yas Forums and why is it Cube?

Also, why was the tall guy so mean to everyone?

He has to keep craning his head down to talk face to face

The Bucket List

12 Angry men, every other answer simply forgets that movie exists momentarily.

>has a scene in the courtroom
>has a scene outside the courthouse

Otherwise I agree with you, definitely need to give it a watch again

I have a theory related to your question. All of the people in the cube had a specific purpose that with their abilities combined would lead them out, right? Except the first person we see in the movie dies immediately so we never learn his purpose. I imagine he had some kind of connection to the cop or someone else that would allow him to be a voice of reason and keep the group sane while they worked together. Because he died before meeting up with them the group didn't have his guidance and ate each other.

lanklet's burden

the guy we see die was from the previous group sent in

but they said why they were in there, to give the cube purpose
its nothing but a death trap
and if they never left the starting point it would have returned, so the cube therefore wasnt actually randomized

I'm not sure if it's the best but Long Day's Journey Into Night is the superior single location film compared to Cube. Not sure why I thought of this one but it was the first to come to mind.

Would this count? Different rooms same building. If not I would say Antz.

I just realized now that Phone Booth probably counts as a "single-room movie" since almost every one of these takes place in a different location for 1-10% of the runtime.

The Lower Depths

It's easily Glengarry Glen Ross

You could be correct, OP. I'd say it's either Cube or The Man From Earth.

Buried

My Dinner with Andre

Rope

Just looked it up and it sounds cool. So basically a 3D cube made up of a shitload of smaller cubes and you need to find your way out like a 3D maze?

Is this movie like the Twilight Zone episode Five Characters in Search of an Exit?

Locke

havent seen this in a while but it mostly takes place in a hotel room

Watched it years ago
Just as fucking boring as I expected
MC is such a fucking lame

There are scenes outside the restaurant, you hack fraud!

>restaurant
>prospective client's house
>street
>other restaurant
>Williamson's car

I will tell Yas Forums my autistic ideas about Cube (yet again) if you really want me to. :^)

I remember seeing ads for Phone Booth on TV when I was a kid and being afraid of snipers for months afterwards every time I went out in public.

Do tell user, I'm watching it now for the first time because of this thread.

Rear Window

Please let me know how far along you are. I'd prefer to wait until you're done. What's the most recent scene?

Depending on how strict you wanna be, Vanya on 42nd Street. No wait what the fuck am I doing, My Dinner with Andre.

The cop almost got stabbed to death because the retarded guy made a noise and now he's pissed at the doc.

Enter the Void

>walking the streets
>riding the subway
>taking a taxi
More like My MULTIPLE LOCATIONS with Andre.

>why was the tall guy so mean to everyone?
He's a cop. Cops lose their shit if they're ever not in control of a situation. Check out the domestic violence rates on them.

If Cube, a movie about moving room to room ina larger complex, counts as a single location movie, then so does Clue, and in that case Clue is the best single location movie

Funny Games

Buried, starring Ryan Reynolds. All set inside a single coffin.
