>RESPECT, Aretha Franklin biopic starring Jennifer Hudson.
>STARDUST, David Bowie biopic starring Johnny Flynn. No big studios picked it up and they couldn't secure the rights to any of Bowie's songs, so the movie will be about the one weekend Bowie created the Ziggy Stardust persona.
>THE POWER OF LOVE, Celine Dion biopic, but it's a VELVET GOLDMINE situation where it's a fictional facsimile, still using her songs, though.
>ELVIS, starring Austin Butler as Elvis and Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker.
>BERNSTEIN, Leonard Bernstein biopic directed and starring Bradley Cooper.
>Bob Marley biopic, produced by his son. Sounds nice. Only one I would consider seeing and Marley isn't even my favorite artist on this list.
Levi Allen
>BERNSTEIN, Leonard Bernstein biopic directed and starring Bradley Cooper. This one sounds interesting. Bernstein was a complex man, and Cooper is probably the best actor of those listed above. It also seems to have the most potential of being a serious biopic and not just boomer pandering.
Justin Hill
There already is a Michael Jackson biopic. It's called The Jacksons: An American dream.
Brandon Long
>>Boy George biopic, and Boy George himself is pushing for Sophie Turner to play him Good casting tBh

Angel Garcia
left >calm, cool, in control right >screaming bloody murder
Asher Barnes
That's not a bad casting for Aretha, but there's no way the writing won't be more ham fisted than the queen herself.
Isaiah Fisher
David Bowie biopic directed by Lynch would be kino.
Jason Clark

Luke Sullivan
>the movie will be about the one weekend Bowie created the Ziggy Stardust persona.
That's not a bad idea. I've often thought you can do more with that sort of limited scenario than with some prolonged shambling conventional "biopic".
Lincoln Martin
SUCCESSFUL MUSICIANS ARE BORING STOP MAKING BIOPICS
Parker Long
Are you a nigger?
Jonathan Parker
>I've often thought you can do more with that sort of limited scenario than with some prolonged shambling conventional "biopic". True, but "creating Ziggy Stardust" is the most boring and safe Bowie scenario you could tackle. They should be doing Thin White Duke era Bowie instead, where he's consuming nothing but cocaine, milk and red peppers, cheating on his wife with black chicks, and going on fascist rants. Or Berlin Bowie would be cool too; A Bowie and Iggy Pop buddy movie.
