Kino choice my friend. For me it's License To Kill.
OOOOH OHOHOH
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
it's such a shame no one gets eaten by sharks in James bond films any more
>What a totally fucking kino soundtrack
Kino soundtrack for a kino movie. It was a huge return to form for the franchise and is in my top five Bond movies. The opening with Dalton landing on the yacht is fantastic.
i miss when Bond used to be able to have a bit of fun. Out of the two extremes I'd rather have Moore's pure corny cheese then Craigs grim grim grim Jason Bourne knock off
>i miss when Bond used to be able to have a bit of fun.
Funny you say that as TLD was a conscious departure from Moore era camp and Dalton was hired in an attempt to get closer to the literary source. I think this movie gets the perfect balance, where as 'License to Kill' verges closer to 80's style excessive violence. 'Goldeneye' is another soft reboot that gets mix perfect.
best Bond movie
>'d rather have Moore's pure corny cheese then Craigs grim grim grim
The opening to 'The Spy Who Loved Me' is peak Moore.
>"But James, I need you." - Thot
>"So does England." - Bond
Then skies off a cliff with a Union Jack parachute. Nobody does it better.
Oh yeah you can tell with Dalton they'd realised that Moores films had gone too far. Still the Llving Daylights still manages to crack a smile sometimes whereas Craigs films simply don't. Funny how Bond needs a re calibration every so often
God tier movie.
the blonde assassin having a dogfight with the waiter/secret agent in the kitchen is one of the best scenes in any bond movie
funnily enough i'm just watching it now
his name is Necros too. Love the bombast of the old bond films
Yeah, shame about the forgettable story, lame villains and bloated climax
agreed and checked
the best Bond girl
It's no thunderball
>gets seduced by some slimy Russian general and falls in love with him
not even close
No doubt. It's the closest anyone other than Bond ever came to thwarting the villain's plan all on his own.
Golden era bond magic that Thunderball is.
if the dumbass he tries to radio had been a bit more on the ball he would have
Also security is so important and they don't even have spotters with binoculars?
>Golden era bond magic
When did the Golden Era end?
DAF
I like to think of Dr. No to OHMSS as the Golden Era. Diamonds Are Forever to View To A Kill as the camp era. The Living Daylights to Die Another Day as a mixed bag of combining the earlier elements with mixed results, achieving really great films and poorer ones in the process. Craig's films start off solid. I enjoy Casino Royal and like QoS as a throwback to License to Kill's revenge theme. The second half of Craig's films are weak, especially Spectre.
her in Xtro and her sister in Conan 2 could fucking get it
Xtro is based as fuck
>It was a huge return to form for the franchise
Mostly. Afghanistan sucks.
If I had seen Xtro as a kid, it would've held the same coomworthiness to me as Lifeforce.
Based Bond is based.
I would say living day lights to die another day is the action era. They certainly emulate action movies of the era, with insane stunts like tilting the semi to dodge a missile, and the duel wielding of guns in tomorrow never dies. Can't think of another term for the era other than action
>her sister in Conan 2
Didn't know that was her sister. Interesting
imagine we got him in AVTAK, they did Property of a Lady immediately after LTK like they planned, and then he did Goldeneye. there couldn't be a more perfect timeline
Yeah, that's a good start towards naming it. I never got around to it. Craig's could be the soft reboot. I want to like Skyfall more, but the writing for the villain's plan requires far too much suspension of disbelief for a film that takes itself so seriously. Something just feels off. Spectre is just a mess all around.
>Afghanistan sucks.
I disagree. I liked the airfield chase and plane fight. Didn't mind the muja ha dein either
>there couldn't be a more perfect timeline
Only if he took over from FYEO.
I think the first two-thirds of Spectre are pretty good. I don't know what the fuck they were thinking with the Blofield/Oberhauser shit, though. It was such an obviously awful idea even in concept.
004 is the waiter, also 006 and 009 die in previous films
post the tranny bond girl
he's a perfect fit for the movie. i'd hate to miss out on Moore in Octopussy though, that's one of my favorites
Pretty much. I enjoyed it on the first viewing, but any time I've tried watching it since it's more noticeable how much they screwed up that whole dynamic and relationship with Bond. He should never have had any personal connection to Bond, and he should have had Bond killed by his subordinates in the fucking tunnel while he was passed out in the car. Having third or so time to remind James he was behind all of the previous movie's plots was just too much. The build up to James being in the meeting with the Spectre agents is solid, but damn it falls apart when Blofeld captures him.
The original plot / story for the Dalton Goldeneye was very different from the one we eventually got. Still, another Dalton movie would have been perfect.
