watch them with mst3k rifftrax, they're arguably the best. after watching this enough times, you will gradually begin to realize that you like the movies, especially the unassuming straight-up throughplot and a to b love story, in a world of fucking retarded complicated gimmicks and pandering. they're really not that bad, or at least no worse than they must necessarily be, given the source material. i can even watch them without rifftrax now.
