Be honest:

What is your favourite art film aside from this?

What is your favourite movie from before1980?

Have you ever seen "Persona"?

I'm not trying to catch you out. I'm genuinely interested how someone might come to this conclusion. Please give your real answers.

What makes a lighthouse so light? Is it the construction materials? Or is it the clever engineering?

It was very good but personally like films with more of a narrative structure. I can see why people love it though and I don't have a problem with that

Persona is top coomer kino

What is your favourite art film aside from this?
define "art film"
What is your favourite movie from before1980?
A Clockwork Orange
Have you ever seen "Persona"?
I've played the games, didn't know there was a movie too

It isn't my favorite, but it did what it was trying to do near perfectly. It's like The Shining with two Jack Nicholsons.

>What is your favourite art film aside from this?
I don't watch art films
>What is your favourite movie from before1980?
I think the earliest film I've seen is either Home Alone 1 or the 1998/9 Rudolph the Reindeer kino
>Have you ever seen "Persona"?
No.

It's filled with hot air. That's civil engineering 101

this movie had the potential to be so much better than it was. They really laid an egg with the themes of isolation and dissociation from the outside world.
For being on an island there were very few shots looking outward towards the water.
Prometheus tie-ins were kino though.

I think a lot of the time when someone think a film like "The Lighthouse", which is decent, is some amazing, special, unique masterpiece, it's really just because it's the first time they've seen something like this - even though, of course, plenty of stuff like this has always existed, and has generally been done in much more interesting, nuance and albeit less accessible ways.

A guy spills his beans

>What is your favourite art film aside from this?
Andrei Rublev
>What is your favourite movie from before1980?
Wake in Fright is great too
>Have you ever seen "Persona"?
Saw most notable Bergman flicks. That retelling of the beach sex scene with boys is one the best executed monologues ever.

You are right, but it is pretty rare for it to also be funny and quotable and not a slog to get through.

Marketa Lazarova, Satantango
Marketa Lazarova, Pickpocket
Yes
The Lighthouse is great.

a guy fucks a seagull

>What is your favourite movie from before 1980?
The Devils (1971)
>Have you ever seen "Persona"?

You're fond of me lobster.

But nothing happens in that movie

>What is your favourite art film aside from this?
I don't watch art films.
>What is your favourite movie from before 1980?
I only watch movies after 2000.
>Have you ever seen "Persona"?
No but I played the video games.

A selfish film that gave nothing back to the viewer as a reward. In other words, pretentious hipster garbage.

Some guy farts a lot and it's windy outside.

>This was the greatest film I have ever seen
I am so sorry if this is true

>I’m genuinely interested.
No you’re not faggot you’re passive aggressively asking those questions because
>wahhhhhh you can’t say this is your favorite movie you need to watch this art house of cum drying on a wall!!!!!!

HOLY FUCKING BASED

Its not even an art film

yeah all that jacking off was pure kino fuck yeah haha

I don't find The Lighthouse that accessible to be honest, and not because it's something something obscure, but simply because it's not that engaging as a film. Even if you give it your full attention there's not much to take away from it.

This movie was fucking terrifying.
