He wasn't the smartest (he shoulda seen Elle killing him), but he was the one with a conscience. It ended up not mattering but at least he was at peace with his inevitable death

Childhood is liking kill bill. Adult hood is not liking kill bill

Childhood is hating kill bill. Adulthood is liking kill bill.

If hes so smart why did he get tricked into letting a snake bite his face?

Adulthood is realizing the 2nd movie sucks balls

Childhood is wishing to be sniffing GoGo's panties, adulthood is fantasizing about being the diapers Beatrix wore while in coma

Hello.... based department?

Vol. 2 is one of the only QT movies that has any sort of emotional substance to it. Vol. 1 is just a build-up to a badly choreographed swordfight that masks it's shittiness with gore. Re-watching Vol. 1 is tedious.

I thought Once Upon A Time in Hollywood had a decent range of emotions. Unironically his best work

That hat...That fucking hat...

who the fuck idolized bill?

That hat is kino, what are you talking about

Why didn’t he simply dodge the snake with his ninja reflexes?

Elle trained the snake in the ninja arts, making it extra sneaky

Kill Bill is the only movie that makes me feel that simple joyous awe that I used to feel as a kid desu

Cringe

Childhood is liking Volume 1 the best.

Adulthood is realizing Volume 1 is hacky kung fu pastiche garbage while Volume 2 is a kino western.

Budd was the only one they all feared.

>Leave the assassin's life and embraces a comfy redneck lifestyle
>Defeats beatrix with a shotgun loaded with fucking salt
>Clearly someone you don't fuck around with,no one dared to face him 1vs1, they always tried to get him when he less expect it

Elle got him with his pant down at the end, but there's plenty of implications that if butch was not fucking around no one would have been able to stop him.

Elle was a massive cunt. Bill would have slaughtered her if he found out. Also Pai Mei was probably laughing down at how the Bride ended her up in Chinese heaven.

>Implying emotion equals quality
Kubrick would like to have a word with you two.

Funniest thing I ever re read!!

art is supposed to make you feel something not jerk off your midwit IQ

>art is supposed to make you feel something
Sure, I agree. I feel a lot of things watching Kill Bill Vol. 1, such as excitement, thrill, suspense, catharsis... But you're not talking about that, you're talking about the characters and the story having emotional depth. To that I say: it's not necessary. You can feel lots of things only by the elements of visuals and audio, and you can infer a lot of meaning without having a character talk about it.

OUATIH is probably the more emotional work, cuz of Rick Dalton's breakdown. Kill Bill 2 is a more well-made film probably, but Kill Bill is one of the most stylish movies made, definitely Style over substance, but that's actually valuable too.

John Wick, The Raid 2, Fury Road, Pulp Fiction, Grand Budapest Hotel, In Bruges, Snatch, Requiem for a Dream, The Fall, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Gravity, Baby Driver, The Good The Bad and the Ugly, Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, Drive, Sicario, The Social Network, 1917 can all be called "Style over Substance".

Style over substance is only a pleb filter.

Budd was streetsmart. If this was a real kind of smart, we'd be ruled by niggers and not jews right now.

Calendar time for Buddy

Bill could have just taken 4 steps and fallen down, after that he would wait until Beatrix leaves and spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

mmmmh indeed
