Adam Driver will play Dracula in a Universal Monsters horror film by Blumhouse. There is also a Van Helsing sequel starring Hugh Jack an in development. A 4th Mummy film with Brendan Fraser acting as soft reboot is also in early stages of development. A musical monster movie is also in development. The new films will be standalones set in their universes. Van Helsing sequel will feature Gillman, Mummy and other monsters. Jordan Peele is also working on a Universal Monsters movie with Will Smith, he right now picks the monster he wants the most to use and it will probably be the Phantom of the Opera. Universal wants now new, original, different experimental movies. A sequel to Tom Cruise mummy is out of question but Universal is looking to bring actress Sofia Boutella back for the future Mummy movies.

Why so many monster movies? Is universal now gonna try every genre to see which sticks?
I unironically look more like Dracula than him (when I slick/comb the hair back) whilst being handsome.
God i've seen enough of this ugly nigger for fucks sake
Pink Floyd biopic when?
>Van Helsing sequel starring Hugh Jack an in development
Why do autists come on here to tell lies? Pretty sad.
Yes. It's another way to avoid creative risks.
Van Helsing made money
Is it?
>Jordan Peele is also working on a Universal Monsters movie with Will Smith, he right now picks the monster he wants the most to use and it will probably be the Phantom of the Opera
ewwww, fucking gross, a blackwashed phantom of the opera about evil white people (except his white female love interest, of course)
>Universal is looking to bring actress Sofia Boutella back for the future Mummy movies
The only good news.
>In November 2019, it was announced that a film centered Count Dracula's henchman, R. M. Renfield is in development. The project was greenlit following a pitch to the studio from Robert Kirkman. Dexter Fletcher signed on as director, with a script by Ryan Ridley. The film will be a joint-venture production between Universal Studios, and Skybound Entertainment. Kirkman, David Alpert, Bryan Furst, and Sean Furst serving as producers.
>In the same press-release, James Wan was announced to serve as producer on a Frankenstein reboot film.[35] The Invisible Man producer Jason Blum told the horror podcast The Evolution of Horror that he wanted to work on the film.[36] In March it was announced that Robbie Thompson was hired to serve as screenwriter, with the plot revolving around a group of teenagers who discover that a neighbor is creating a monster in their basement. The project will be developed under Wan's production banner, Atomic Monster Productions
You know what would make a good monster movie?
The cops start bringing in prisoners. You buy a ticket, sign a waiver and sit next to bums and criminals.
The lights go up, and an officer tells you what everyone did, their stories that led them into prison, and you can turn in people who are going down the same path to get drafted or watched by the county.
>Elizabeth Banks was later announced to star in, direct and produce The Invisible Woman, based on her own original pitch. The screenplay, a reboot of the titular character, is being written by Erin Cressida Wilson. Max Handelman will also serve as producer.
>In February 2020, a musical titled Monster Mash was announced to be in development. Grammy Award nominee Matt Stawski will make his feature film directorial debut, while Will Widger will serve as screenwriter, from an original story written by Stawski. The project will be a joint-venture production between Universal Pictures and Temple Hill Entertainment. Marty Bowen will serve as producer.
>Later that month, it was announced that Amy Pascal will serve as producer for The Bride of Frankenstein. Her production studio Pascal Pictures, will develop the project, while filmmakers John Krasinski and Sam Raimi have had discussions with the studio to serve as director. The studio is courting David Koepp to once again serve as screenwriter. Variety stated that Feig, Banks, and Krasinski were each given options to develop films from the roster of monsters owned by Universal Pictures.
I welcome the next monster wave. Why give up on decades of history. They better make a pinball machine though.
>On March 10, 2020, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Karyn Kusama will direct a Dracula remake for Blumhouse. Possibly starring Adam Driver(?).
Oh yeah, they'd totally make a sequel to negatively received film from 16 years ago. That makes sense. Retard.
Universal are retarded.
>Jordan Peele is also working on a Universal Monsters movie with Will Smith, he right now picks the monster he wants the most to use and it will probably be the Phantom of the Opera
sounds like ass
>with the plot revolving around a group of teenagers who discover that a neighbor is creating a monster in their basement. The project will be developed under Wan's production banner, Atomic Monster Productions
this, too
I wouldn't mind seeing this
>In September 2019, it was announced that a film titled Dark Army is in development. The film will feature monsters from the original movies, as well as new characters. Paul Feig will serve as director, from a script of his own. He will serve as co-producer with Laura Fischer. The project will be a joint production between Universal Pictures and Feigco Productions. The filmmaker stated that The Bride of Frankenstein will be a major influence on his project
It could work, Tepes really was fucking ugly just like Adam Driver.
i dont understand why this unsightly, ungainly, uncharismatic man keeps getting movie roles.
so Dracula the Untold Story is completely out?
>Universal Monsters
omg stop this gay shit already. NO ONE cares.
>There is also a Van Helsing sequel starring Hugh Jack an in development.

>“I really want this to bring the same feeling that those old monster movies that I loved growing up watching [did]. I’m not as interested in doing a horror movie as I am in doing a true monster film. So, hopefully that will see the light of day. You never know in Hollywood these days, but I love it. I’m very excited about it. I’m excited about the characters that I’ve created and about some of the ones that I’ve been able bring over from the old movies.”

Good actor. Will eventually get an oscar.
>While this must all be taken with a heavy serving of (garlic) salt, according to film scooper and reporter Daniel Richtman, and in a report by HN Entertainment, it was said that John Krasinski plans to write and direct a project “set in the world of vampires.” While it must be said that a film “set in the world of vampires” doesn’t necessarily indicate Van Helsing, it would not be surprising to see Universal want to turn their attention to this property, much like how The Invisible Man was the second film to be announced ahead of The Mummy (2017), and while it didn’t turn out to be the Johnny Depp feature, it still was made.

Oh nononononononononononono
The Last Duel will get him he oscar.
>Adam Driver is a terrible idea
Yes. Universal is making STANDALONE monster movies now. No more crossovers like MCU other than Paul Feig Dark Army and that monster musical Monster Mash.
Vlad Țepeș looks more like Adam Driver. He would be an accurate Dracula.
Dracula sucks blood, not crayons.
