It's presented with a clear narrative in a concise, episodic structure. It was very entertaining. Plus a lot of people do just watch any old Netflix crap.

There is nothing to watch. "Television" these days is literally just sports broadcasts, whatever HBO meme show is airing, and Netflix exclusives that try to prevent people from cancelling their subscription.

Because everyone else is talking about it. Being out of the loop on something is a social death sentence to these people.
