True, there are far more interesting places to visit. Now here's the catch, it takes fucking FOREVER to get there. In the UK there are tonnes of places within an hours drive

Idk the particulars. He studied medicine here in Scotland at UofG, worked for are NHS for a couple years, then moved to Melb, then Broome.
RFDS is Royal Flying Doctor Service. I think he basically gets paid the big bucks because he's constantly on call and has to be ready to fly anywhere in WA at a moments notice to deal with any kind of medical emergency

For me the weather was the main appeal. It was nice for a while but I ended up preferring the british freeze to death than boiling alive.
anywhere locum doctors get sent. I did one locum shift in katherine in the northern territory and it just wasn't worth it. It's incredibly difficult being isolated to that degree and there is a complete lack of things to do.
I disagree, not worth throwing years of your life away instead of just settling for a smaller place. Time is money and all that crap. If you can't afford to live in a city then move to a cheaper one.
compared to the UK, you can buy a much, much bigger house for the same price. They're also much more modern (some might not like that ofc) inside and come with a lot more space. Even when it comes to flats I was happy living in the bargain basement whereas in the UK that really isn't going to be a pleasant experience.
