Is this the kid you were telling me about?

this never really took me out of the movie. robert de niro has always had an old face, even back in his first roles. his hunched over stature in the irishman just made him seem like more of a goon
Carter Gomez
>This never really took me out of the movie. robert de niro has always had an old face, even back in his first roles
Ok retard, this is how Robert De Niro looked in Mean Streets at an age that he's supposed to be in The Irishman.
Isaiah Sanchez
Haven't seen the movie yet, I assumed they de-aged him to be like 40-50 years old or something, how old is he supposed to be?
Matthew Brooks
How young is he in Mean Streets, retard?
He's in his late 30s here.
Jason Hall
In the earlier scenes, late 30s, then 40s.
Angel Cooper
>”Here’s that twink I was telling you about”
Hudson Scott
>noooo everything must be super realistic for the movie to be good!
Fucking nerds.
Tyler Harris
damn, that new wallace and gromit movie looks nice
Jackson Phillips
no this is young frank sheeran you retard
Thomas Bell
i think that if De Niro would have put more effort into being a little skinnier without compromising his health and had the kikeflix hacks used a little de aging and gave more money to deepfake research it would have actually looked more convincing like this
Jayden Robinson
Isn't he only referenced as "young" by Pesci's character who is older?
Elijah Morris
of course there is nothing wrong with 30yo characters looking like clay figurines and speaking and moving like 80yo grandpas
Connor Murphy
Even then you don't solve the problem of De Niro waddling/stumbling through his scenes like the decrepit pensioner he is. Should've just gone all out on the deepfake stuff and used it on a stuntman that looks somewhat like a younger De Niro
Lincoln Perry
Kek there's no way that's real
Ethan Richardson
It's the most egregious example (and why it's been reposted a thousand times) but the hits/murders later in the film aren't much better. The real mystery is who had the bigger ego, De Niro thinking he wasn't much past his physical prime or Scorsese watching that scene and thinking to himself that De Niro had nailed it, and he'd been vindicated in his decision to cast him as a 30 year old hitman
Nathan Thomas
Imagine out of all the takes, they chose this one. They should have showed all the other takes at the end of the movie like a blooper reel. It would have been far better than the actual movie
Luis Bennett
the cat dancing the whip gif looks more real than this
John Williams
This fucking scene was shot half a block away from my apartment
Xavier Parker
I hate zoomers
Jason Parker
Me too, but it's the technology that made them fucked up. Only by denying all technological progress past 2013 could we make younger generations human again.
Noah Williams
Does not look like a man in his late 30s.
Carson Harris
I assumed the same watching it. Was shocked when I found out he was supposed to be much younger.
Austin Perez

Cameron Jenkins
No, this is.
Easton Thompson
the shit on the right looks like a ps2 game lmao
Cameron Gonzalez
Exactly, much older than people who always complain seem to imagine. So many morons think he is supposed to be 20 early in the film. He's like 20 in the flashback from WWII and that definitely doesn't look all that good but it's just a short scene.
John Morales
Young de niro looks like one of the gallaghers lmao
Angel Martin
>help a young man is beating me, his virile energetic youthful kicks hurt so much
Thomas Lopez
>that scene where kicks that guys ass for hurting his daughter in the store
Cringe as fuck. Why do people pretend this was good?
William Jones
>Why do people pretend this was good?
It says Scorsese so it must be good
Hudson Thomas
Looks like it to me.
No he wasn't, that's literally his age, he's only a bit younger (late 30s) in the scene where he meets Pesci. (and in the war flashback)
