It's beat down! Time!
Yeah this was pretty based, better than the Neon Demon
bean
Watched this last night. Thought I got filtered for most of it but I think it brought itself together pretty well in the end.

man I read somewhere that goose had done real muay thai training for this role, was really disappointed that the big fight ended up being him tossing himself around like a retard while the lil singing fella fucked him up. Still a solid film though.
It is really a great film, but it is not what people wanted or expected after Drive.
It will probably have a rejuvenation in mid 2020's or when Refn makes a new hit.
All the blogs will write about the excellent but forgotten/overlooked movie of the 2010's.
It won't reach Blade Runner status, but I think it will be much more enjoyed in a couple of years.
Blade Runner was so god damn good. It's a shame it didn't do so well in Box Office since normalfaggots got filtered.
Added to my watchlist.
Is this incel kino?
>better than the Neon Demon
Not exactly a hard standard to beat. Hell even Zoolander is a better film than that schlock.
Zoolander is one of the greatest movies ever made. Not trolling either.
When I mean Blade Runner I mean the original one. It is a cult classic, and I think OGF will become one as well.
But true, the second BR was also great.
I don't think Refn is magically going to make a resurgence. His new show came and went and nobody even knows it existed.
Amazon didn’t do shit to promote it
Apart from that, I don't really get why so many people on Yas Forums dislikes it, it's kinda perplexing.
They call it dishonest but cannot point out why it's bad. Blade Runner 2049 might not be as thematically strong as the original, but it has the best science fiction cinematography in decades.
Are you serious, dude? The people spamming dishonest have not watched the movie. It's just a word people spam when a movie gets too popular on Yas Forums and they want to try and shut down discussion. Same thing happened with La La Land.
They might've had different expectations coming from the first movie - as they do differ a lot. I myself only watched the first movie after I finished Gosling's version due to beeing a zoomie (20) and I enjoyed them both a lot.
The movie does leave a lot unanswered but that's part of the charm. The aesthetics were great though, what it did tell was done in a perfect way, acting was well done, action sequences weren't half bad. I'd call it a 8.5/10 easily.
>I don't think Refn is magically going to make a resurgence
He did it before with Pusher 2 and 3. He makes excellent movies... often enough. They are often to excentric for the general audience, but sometimes he makes a big hit. Pusher, Drive and you can even say Bronson.
He got the talent. If all else fails, he can go back to Denmark to make local movies to make money and get his career up again.
He will probably try and make art house stuff until he needs money.
This movie is so good visually but the rest of it sucks. Was NWF a one hit wonder with Drive?
So you're saying the people who always say dishonest are dishonest themselves?
We know you're not trolling user, you just have shit taste
Indeed.
1 of my top 3 films. Love how much it makes dipshits seethe. Pure pleb destruction. I watch it at least once a year since it came out, sometimes with subs, sometimes without, with commentary and without. Could talk all day about the themes and underlying messages of it but this board is too trash and doesn't deserve my insight. Nic makes the best Mommyfus.
>one hit wonder
Drive
Bronson
Pusher 1, 2 and 3
But most important of all OGF is excellent, and probably his best movie.
Not him but Zoolander is great.
Ben Stiller is probably THE best comedy director out there.
>Zoolander
>Tropic Thunder
>The Cable Guy
Does anyone know the essential Kristin Scott Thomas kino besides this film?
Ben Stiller is unironically the Charles Chaplin of his time
Nahhhh not so much
Looks like someone got filtered by the Ref
based
>It's a shame it didn't do so well in Box Office
Not it is not. I don't want it to turn into cinematic universe garbage. New movie turned out surprisingly well but I doubt the lightning will struck the second time.
They're actually straight up making an anime sequel now. It's called "Blade Runner - Black Lotus". I think we're just gonna get a bunch of Blade Runner anime from now on.
