The fuck? The whole last mission is about helping John. The whole game practically steers you towards high honor, especially the last few missions. Choosing to help John even gives you an honor boost, in line with the rest of the game trying to push you to be honorable. Hell, if you just sit there and don't choose to do anything the game picks "Help John" automatically.

I picked John because I didn’t know there were endings for high honor/low honor for both options, thought it was just money = bad ending, john = good ending but I think going back for the money with high honor is the best since you get to fuck up Micahs face before going out
