I always loved Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday in Tombstone.

Guy Pierce in Lawless was great.

Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall in Lonesome Dove
Most underrated "western" ever, great and comfy

Absolute tragedy he wasn’t even nominated.

Tom Noonan as Francis Dollarhyde.

De Niro as Noodles
his acting in the limo rape scene sealed the deal

Daniels or Carrey for Dumb and Dumber. Comedy roles are always overlooked, fart comedies even more so obviously but fuck it they both absolutely nailed it. Carrey especially who managed to show his strengths without just being Jim Carrey doing the Jim Carrey thing like in Ace Ventura and The Mask.

Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler

not a film, so more snubbed by TV awards, but Theroux got nothing for The Leftovers and he was fantastic in it

Cruise in Collateral

Ben Foster as Charlie Prince in 3:10 to Yuma(2007)
He should've been nominated for Best Supporting Actor

heh, drunk piano player. you're so drunk you can't hit nothing. in fact, you're probably seeing double.

I used to think he was a shit actor just because I hated his face but I don't think I've seen him be less than great in anything. He also has a patrician taste in women.

He was really good in Hell or Highwater.

>I'm tired of having nobody
Better than any of his serious roles.

Was Val ever nominated? I feel I remember a time where he was widely regarded as one of our best actors and then he just kind of disappeared.

masterpiece. best of its decade

Ralph Fiennes in Grand Budapest Hotel. Fucking travesty not to even be nominated.

He was pretty good in Pandorium too.
I guess people can't look at him without hearing "I SEE YOU EARL HICKEY!"

How about Hostage?

Because he was a mad cunt btts, then just as a potential second act was on the cards he got fucked by cancer or some thyroid shit.

Based. Movie should've swept at the Academy Awards and got jack instead

My gosh who cares if he was a cunt. I'm so bored of the world being swamped with mediocrities and bureaucratic types judging everything on just how well someone is a 'team player' or likeable or polite or well-behaved. FUCK the 'team'. Teams are just gangs of mediocre refuse trying to secure their position. It's all about genius and fuck everything else.

He had throat cancer. He sounds like a fucking kazoo now.

He still makes movies, but they just dub over his voice with someone else, so it's not all bad.

>what the hell are you doin this for anyway?
>wyatt earp is my friend.
>hell i got lots of friends
>i don't

kino scene

Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow

Jeff Bridges was disappointing tho.

It was a great performance piece because the character is a take on a gay guy with AIDS.

This is unironically what "Doc" Holiday was supposed to be in that movie

He was nominated

The fact that he singlehandedly made that schmaltzfest watchable is worthy enough of an award
