What do you think?
Jacqueline designed the costumes of DUNE

Good job Jacqueline. You made everything look boring as shit.
generic and boring.
I think woman should not be put in places where they have to make decisions
shit looks like poorly installed duct work
SOULLESS
There was a costume designer on the film?
How the fuck is it so hard for these people to make decent looking militaristic uniforms?
i thought it was some shit that came out of GoT.
No colors, nothing that stands out, plain blank walls, dark brooding lighting.
Yep confirmed shit.
>woman
>military uniforms and combat armor
The real question is why did they hire a woman? I doubt it was Villeneuve's idea, but she worked for the Dune producer before on The Revevenant. Do you remmeber the costumes being good? It was basically everyone wearing rags.
The nu-costumes would be fine if they had things showing their military ranks/medals/ribbons or whatever
And she's never worked on a sci-fi movie ever
It looks so fucking dull and plain.
Lynch's Dune at least had some leftovers from Jodorowsky. It had dark greens, bright orange, gold, pure white, deep blues, etc. Something that suited a medieval fantasy sci-fi story. Not this dull grey stuff
There's two costume designers you moron. The other ones'a man.
Stop being such an incel loser and REEEEing about womyn.
No they wouldn't. Even with that they're still just brown blobs of nothing.
That's a cop-out. One of the main costume designers in Lord of the Rings was a woman.
People have been making increasingly uglier shit over time, and I don't believe that has to do with femoids themselves.
They look like they are wearing the same non-descript suit. How someone thought this was a good idea is beyond me.
Don’t think it’s fair to lay all the blame on her. There’s probably an army of concept artists who worked on this film, all producing perfectly bland, boring work.
>woman wants to be in charge
>turns out she's shit
>T-there's someone else doing this too! You just hate women! INCEL! REEEEEEE!
Cope.
Move over Moebius
women *clap* don't *clap* owe *clap* you *clap* shit
Pretty spot on. Meant to be spartan
Thats the idea
This is the other costume designer.
>The other ones'a man
And look what movies he's worked in
imdb.com
This is going to be real shit
Who did Dune 2xxx? I thought that was the best thing about that abomination.
Looks like any cheap sci-fi shooter on Steam
This movie won't even have the dignity to give us some T-poses.
I know you retard it looks like capeshit.
OP is being an incel loser blaming this woman who's worked on things like Terrence Malick films and The Revenant.
Gotta be middle of the road somehow right?
>thing is terrible
>"y-yeah well did you know other people before me have done terrible things?"
>this is somehow an excuse for you to do it, and should be safe from criticism
> instead of the exact opposite because you didn't learn from other peoples mistakes
Are you literally Ryan Johnsson?
Well that makes a terrifying amount of sense. Remember those shitty MGS-wannabe black suits from X-Men Apocalypse?
The man is credited as co-designer which means he's second fiddle. I suspect her design was so bad they brought the guy to fix it. It's still shit though, like really bad. If anything I blame the producer, she has made a string of awful movies.
What the fuck are you going on about?
>Hollywood increasingly hiring femoids
>Movies increasingly ugly, both costumes and cast
>not correlated
Awful.
It looks like capeshit. This woman literally has done zero capeshit. Look at work. Terrance Malick, Fincher etc.
You being a fucking homo.
I don't think so. It's a one person design, then you have the slaves who make the actual costume but it's the design that counts.
They're a bit boring and generic but not so much so that I've given up hope. As long as the acting and script are solid then the costumes won't be a huge issue.
He's actually pretty good, he made DOFP not Apoclypse, and Inception suits were really nice as well as the costumes in Chronicles of Riddick or the armors in Man Of Steel. Dune doesn't look like his work so I guess it's Jacqueline.
>I doubt it was Villeneuve's idea
Dude is a french-canadian "male feminist", it was def his idea
BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. Where the FUCK is muh Space-feudalism regalia?
The X-men suits are pretty bad and generic compared to the comic suits.
