That isn't exactly that. Villeneuve was working and Scott came to visit and Villeneuve asked him who was his fav director, he said Inmar Bergman, Villeneuve asked him how would you feel if Bergman was looking over your shoulder while you're making a film?

And? Villeneuve and Brian Herbert are also both producers on the movie. Brian is even a creative consultant on it and went a lot on the set to make sure the film is good.
