Why did it go so wrong? Should novels be only adapted as video games, where studios can develop true art without it being compromised by studios with singular agendas? Should Netflix stick to short stories, instead?
The Witcher - what went so horribly wrong?
>Why did it go so wrong?
Netflix, wine aunt showrunner, majority female writers room, horrible casting, forced diversity
Right on all points, and in the correct order too.
This user has got it right but I would also add that it was project created just to try and cash in on the success of GOT and the Witcher games.
There was a great deal of passion at the start of GOT, the casting was some of the best in the industry, the Witcher seems hollow in comparison.
even without the sjw stuff the show just looked cheap so I saw no reason to give it a shot
Well, that was easy.
Funny how normis were so hige on this after it came out. Now nobody cares for this shit. You would think quarantine would drive up interest for netflix shows.
There's enough effort in the witcher series desu. It just went in all the wrong directions.
>Should novels be only adapted as video games, where studios can develop true art without it being compromised by studios with singular agendas?
You think video games don't get screwed by men in suits?
I feel sorry for the book fans. This is the second witcher series that went to shit; there won't be a third. But at least sapko gets a nice retirement now.
