It's sad when a shitty shot like that has more soul than the entirety of the ST

Clones had its moments

out of the prequels I really love 1 and 3, but 2 does show its age. I think they rushed it or something because that lightsaber fight is abysmal.

How come the pillar right behind them doesn’t have a shadow like the others?

what videogame are these from?

Battlefront II on heroes vs villains

You can cherry pick shitty shots from any movie. LOTR is full of dodgy looking shots.

FAAAAAAKE

How does this movie look so dated when so many movies from the same time look sooo much better. Fuckin Starship Troopers still hold up. The prequels look like shit compared to everything of the time

>ごめんね、ジョージさま。

Starship Troopers used models and animatronics so when they wanted to make a CGI bug army the textures had already been made by the carpenters, their movements could be mapped and the way the on-set lighting looked against the bugs could be used to make it seem like the digital bugs were really there too.

But in the prequels the battle scenes were just 100% green screen, so is the shot in the OP, the animators had no idea how the lighting would really look, they had no frame of reference to base their work on and just had to make it all up. If they'd just made that gangway as an actual set, put a couple of pillars up and a lighting rig to represent the sun it would look so much better.

>Prequels is all green screens and CGI

No way.

Where did they get the budget for a set that big?

The prequels had more practical effects that the OT

"No!"

Didn't look like it in the final product

made the mistake of building sets instead of building plastic costumes. clones look fake as fuck. completely unnecessary.

You know your movie is bad when off hand behind the scenes B footage looks better than the end product where even the practicals look like chink rendered plastic CG garbage lmao

The prequels hold up extremely well

Lmao so they went through all that work to achieve a pure CGI look?

It looks fine, on par with LOTR. It's just that you give LOTR a pass because you like the movie, but with prequels you don't like the movie so you don't give the visuals a pass.

>the stairs shift
Why did nobody tell George?

Wow, I never noticed that somehow. I always thought this webm was posted in these threads because the hallway is just a painted wall, Wile E. Coyote style.

as a retard that looks at everything except what I'm naturally supposed to, it's very jarring

Episode I does, the rest really doesn't

I think Ep.I still holds up pretty well visually, compared to Ep. 2 and 3
