No ironic answers please.
Pretty accurate historically too
Any of them, Gladiator blows
Would the escape plan have worked if the woman didn’t rat them out
Braveheart, get fucked.
the 1960 hannibal barca movie comes to mind
Which one is the best
>300
bahahahahah
>historical
>marcus aurelius did give away the throne to an autismo [wife's] son
>son got choked in a bathtub by a slave like a fag
i mean, if the shit they have skewed in the plot just to pander my hollywood hedonism (pardon - heroism) tropes, was implemented today that film would've been panned.
Its kino but not historical. Alt-history, perhaps.
>implying either of those even remotely resemble history
t. braindead cuntflap education
have doubts about "alt-history", cuz it usually implies a story-driven plot where history moves left instead of right, (but some tag that points out how contrived the plot is, needs to be applied)
t. love this film to death
troy is a well filmed historical take on the illiad. With much better action then 300.
Alexander is pretty off historical but at least it shows proper formations unlike 300 there different level of historical accuracy and both troy and Alexander are far more tolerable then snyders shitfest.
Last of the Mohicans
That is barely historical
ok, but my point was about 300 and gladiator, not Troy and Alexander.
The patriot
Fights to the death in the Coliseum were rare but this movie Gladiators are dying every match.
Waterloo (1970)
Troy
Though not really historical, just compare to any recent big budget blockbuster and you’ll be dazzled. It’s amazing what happens when truckloads of money are given to filmmakers, actors, and production designers that actually give a shit
Last of the Mohicans
The Last Samurai
Braveheart
Ben-Hur
Lawrence of Arabia
this, it's not very good at all honestly. Just some good acting.
oh lol i see.
>At least one historical advisor resigned due to these changes. Another asked not to be mentioned in the credits. istorian Allen Ward of the University of Connecticut believed that historical accuracy would not have made Gladiator less interesting or exciting, stating, "creative artists need to be granted some poetic license, but that should not be a permit for the wholesale disregard of facts in historical fiction".
that brad pitt s[h]lomo air attack didn't age well, tho
oh no no no no no!

It had good soundtrack fucken love it. This was made when putting in effort was allowed.
well this is just a petty nitpick (like that 2-3 frame-long shot of a visible metal girder in queen from Aliens), barely anyone would pick up on that when first (or even second-third) time watching
