Is it just me or do sitcoms not exist anymore? What happened?

As little as I actually liked The Office, it’s clear to see just how much of a powerhouse this lineup was. Will network television ever have a block this solid again?
Modern Family ended last week. I think that was the last one from the golden era.
network television is dead
2009 was so comfy. Wanna go back real bad lads.
Is there a list of episodes with timestamps of Tina Fey acting slutty in 30 Rock? Not gonna watch 20 seasons to find a few clips.
The better thursday line-up was when My Name is Earl was on. Thats also when both 30 Rock and the Office were still in their prime (although 30 Rock stayed solid until the end imo). Parks and Rec was just The Office with even more one-dimensional characters. Community was good for a season or two and then it just got stupid.
what is that? a scar
That NBC power hour was rare , these things only happened once every 10 ten years
>I watched one season of Parks and Rec: The Post
>the final scene where the gay dads died of AIDS at the same time while holding hands
right in the feels ;_;
It's funny to look back to when that show was hailed as the peak of mocumentary shows and it ended up being the one to kill it.
>Putting 30 rock in the same pic as these shitty tv shows.
Smh
30 rock >>>>> community > parks and rec > office
people that rely on references for humor are usually awful but 30 rock turned it into an art form
Superstore and Brooklyn 99. Mediocre but the same type of show
I really hope this is true, obviously it's not, but I can still hope
They exist you just arent watching them
It’s a sitcom. All sitcoms are shit.
yeah pretty sure she got knifed by some random guy when she was a kid
The only reason sitcoms ever existed is because broadcast entertainment was a captive market. This is no longer the case.
Brooklyn 99 retard
Nice bait. Modern Family was the last of sunset era. Golden era was mid 80s to mid 90s. Seinfeld was the last great sitcom from the golden era, that’s why it gets so much extra love and hate.
I've seen everything up to the last three or four episodes. I never cared enough to finish.
He was talking about good sitcoms
They were never good to begin with.
Sensible chuckle
At what point did It’s Always Sunny become trash
It was at least watchable through season 7.
Its still good. Latest season is great
They are targeting women now because they know women care less about quality so all the new ones are just full of flamboyant gays and snarky women characters and they lean into more relationshit drama instead of actual situational comedy.
They’re targeting women by making documentary true crime shows instead of sitcoms
