From what i've already scene with costumes yep lynch did better. He had a much smaller budget aswell with inflation.

They're only redoing it to keep the rights for another 5 years. They will remake it every 5 years until the heat death of our sun.

I have no reason to believe that Nolan will suddenly make a good movie whereas Villeneuve has made several fantastic films.
