dude got played hard, no wonder he's a little bitter. since 2 and 3 was not filmen or even written when they finished 1, he was obviously hoping he would turn force sensitive or get a romantic relationship with Rey. The trailer put him front and center and everybody believed he would be the main guy...then 1 comes out and a) he's just this doofy silly side-kick and b) chinks hate blacks so disney just wiped him off any posters outside the US c) his toy sold the least, so disney probably told future writers "yeah he's not important anymore"
and ultimately his entire character arc went nowhere, he did nothing and he was literally just "the black guy"
