I like the new costumes more, but the old sets were much, much better. 17th Century uniforms are too goofy, but maximalist ornamentation on everything really sells who the Atreides are better than blank minimalism. The top looks like they are in a modern art gallery, the bottom looks like the palatial home of space nobles.

the armor should have been something creative, something that blends futuristic materials with medieval/renaissance armor. or turkish armor. or japanese armor. or chainmail, or roman armor. hell, do anything, just do SOMETHING.
