Try widening your horizon. If you only watch film for the escapism, you'll never become patrician. I recommend looking beyond film as a therapeutic means of coping with life, as that will severely limit your perspective of the medium. With your outlook, all film is judged from a standpoint of which character one can "relate to" or "root for", essentially "turning your brain off", in this board's lingo. That said, I understand your struggles and I sincerely feel for you. I hope it gets better.

I'm doing just fine. I'm happy, for once. Took a whole lot of work to get there though, and not only on my part.
Here's a classic, bit overrated in my opinion, but will scratch the proverbial ant itch. Along the same vein, I'd recommend Day of the Triffids, although it's not ant related.
