why do you care about Yas Forums's opinions
if you wanna watch it go watch it

It was alright

It's pretty shit
Incredibly cheesy which doesn't work well with it's serious tone, and the sets/environments are all shit

>Director: Mel Gibson

It's automatically a kino

What did you think about Garfield's performance individually?

MC was a christcuck to the extreme. It was hard to watch with all his moral signaling.

The battle scenes are intense, well done and brutal as fuck contrasting with the beginning of the film which drags on way too long and is basically a shitty forrest gump. Still worth watching tho imo.

i watched it when i was still in the army and i fucking hated garfield's character. i wanted to give him a nougie until my knuckles rubbed his scalp

not kino

Yeah, the gore in the initial battle scene was pretty chilling. Then he starts dragging Vince Vaughn around on a ruck sack while Vince sprays gooks down with a grease gun, and I was perplexed by what I was seeing.

an 80s action movie that mel wants you to take seriously

When the shit started going down, I actually teared up considering what those men went through. As far as the main character, keep in mind that they didn't even include other crazy shit he really did because people wouldn't believe it.

>army man not want kill
>me angry

nah it's more i just put myself in the shoes of having to work with this asshole in the modern day. i'm a moralfag but not to the same extent he was. i worked with people like him and they're terrible.

Loved it

It's mediocre. Thin Red Line is pure ww2 kino.

Hacksaw Ridge, more like Hacksaw Ridge, mirite?

Look at this pic, OP. It's a soldier using half of a corpse as a shield, several japanese soldiers firing at him to no effect, while charging at them and shooting a BAR one handed. This should show you everything you need to know about the movie.

tell more

Can't believe this actually happened. What a hero.

That it's fucking stupid?

not bad but ask yourself would the movie have been better if he was just a normal soldier who used guns

It’s shit

it was supposed to be a biopic tho

It looks cheap. Like the battle scenes all look like they were filmed on a soundstage the size of my living room

Too low budget. Irl the guy had to deal with tanks and in the movie there are none.

It would have been a different movie then. What’s this post supposed to be highlighting?

I'm not a stupid lib but it was pretty bad

not the previous user but I hated that faggot's portrayal of Peter Parker
he's alright in this movie, though he does sound like a retard in the 1st hour or so.
The movie has capeshit-tier writing but at least it's entertaining.
Mel did a good job with what he had.

It's one of the shittiest movies I've ever seen. Melodramatic and preachy. The action scenes are retarded. Blatant CGI out the ass. There is nothing redeeming about it.

It mostly made me think of this one Catholic dude I worked with named Suarez. We'd be out in the fucking desert for months and he just totally alienated himself by ALWAYS taking the moral highground in an argument even when morality didn't apply. We couldn't even get him to fucking play cards with us even when we weren't betting shit because "it was against his morals to play games of chance." He was also incredibly happy and smiling to the extent that we couldn't even joke around or complain about shit around him because he'd bust it with some moralistic faggot bullshit about how lucky we were or something of the sort.

>in the fucking desert after two and a half months
>haven't shit in multiple days
>everyone is miserable but we find joy in shooting the shit with one another and telling stories from our lives
>suarez comes in bitching about how "oh you shouldn't have done that, that's baaaaad"
>i bitch about being out of cigarettes
>"you know you shouldn't be smoking anyway, user"

He knew I hated him so he just tried even harder to make me like him. It had the opposite effect.

I'm sure that many of you can't relate to what I'm talking about, and that's fine. If you know, you know. I think I just projected all of my hatred for Suarez onto Garfield's character because they were incredibly similar, but at least Garfield had balls. Suarez was just a little smiley faggot.

Not that guy but i think his point is that watching a war movie about a guy who doesnt shoot back and pulls guys around in the mud while they blow away the japs by the thousands in gory detail just isnt all that exciting. Especially when the first half of the movie is all setup

I get that, I never served or anything and im as liberal as it gets but people like that are extremely annoying
