This was actually pretty good. Generic, sure, but pretty good.
Underwater
One of the few women, who look better with short hair than long hair.
Did you ever wonder how a decent movie following a winning formula (basicly Alien but Underwater), could fail as hard as it did? Well I think most people saw K-Stewart's shaved head and sullen expression on the poster and said to themselves,
>do I want to see a movie with a butch lesbian lead that probably has patriarchy smashing and shoehorned gay references all throughout? Nah I could just stay home., Too risky to pay to get lectured for the umpteenth time.
It was actually a good movie too. Way to go Kirsten you gay cunt
your generic!
My wife was drooling over her during this movie. I felt uncomfortable
Ironic that the one movie with the main character that looks like a butch dyke has literally zero politics in it and it's actually quite fun, kek.
There were a couple of potentially decent sub-plot points - the captain's daughter and the captain's locker map and pentagram - that look like they just forgot about in the end or cut from the release.
I am thinking this may have had a more convoluted plot planned but someone decided to just have a generic monster movie in the end.
Did people even see the posters though? did they promote this shit at all?
I wasn’t aware this movie existed until I read this thread.
Give up on the cthulu shit, add a bunch more creature designs for them to face off against, and this this could have been great.
I didn't watch because she didn't have hairy pits & pussy.
That was essentially why I didn't watch it.
Hell, OP's pic there is Kstew lookin like Kfridge. As unsexy as a shoebox.
No thanks.
>kills Cthulhu
walked out of the theatre right there
There's a sexy asian chick too though
It had nice sets and overall good production design, the base felt functional and they managed to create a bit of atmosphere. I also enjoyed characters putting sacrificing themselves to save others.
I think the movie came out like a month after Charlie's Angels, which was a bust.
looked like a remake of Deep Blue Sea/Deep Star Six
It pretty much is except with Cthulhu instead of sharks
>shoehorned diversity
>generic plot
>completely lacking in any sort of depth
Oh boy more bland globohomo propaganda. hard pass.
>shoehorned diversity
What are you talking about, there's two women and one black guy, the rest of the crew are all white men. And the black guy is the first one to die at like 15 minutes.
Tbdesu thats a fairly accurate description of why I didnt see it.
I saw the promo with her and thought it was another gurlpower soapbox so I just wasnt interested.
It's just a Alien ripoff set underwater, it's comfy but nothing special. Give it a shot, you'll probably like it.
Any movie with any women or minorities in it is shoehorned diversity according to Yas Forums
and kstew isn't lesbian she had a fiancee
she has a cute bellybutton tho
She definitely isn't. She basically eye fucked me when I walked by her on set.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away
I would've considered watching it when it came out if she looked a little more like this.
i meant her character, but real kstew isn't either
The characters are thrust into disaster in the opening scene and it never let's up. There is zero time for soapboxing.
Literally every woman looks better with short hair.
