The ending was ominous as fuck
what was this program called again?
The future is wild
They also made a cringe kids tv Show based off the same universe goes by the same name I think
Looks like the ruins shit from pso
It's a tragedy they haven't done another printing of the book.
Alien Planet (2005)
I wanna buy it sometime in my life. Also, C.M. Kosemen, please publish Snaiad, I'd pay a fortune for a full book.
THIS is an alien ayy lmao
These are just barn owls for fuck's sake
>Dude what if aliens were completely weird and looked nothing like life as we know it?!
That would be INSANE bro kek great comment!
in the special the planet has lighter gravity and a thicker atmosphere. Everything that is shown shares the same semi-reptilian/semi-aquatic features. Can you stop bitching about every single thing for a little while?
>Alien is just a combination of Earth life forms
>eyeballs somehow convergently evolved on a completely separate planet
>every alien culture is just an abstraction of human culture
Does sci-fi expose humanity's lack of creativity?
Poor Ike ;_;
Only trannies get upset with humans and call them boring.
Eyeballs convergently evolved multiple times on earth too
Better than modern “what are aliens? All our characters are humans and diversity means black people instead of multiple alien races” “sci-fi”
Most of those animals looked like something you'd see on earth, though. The only really weird things were the floating smart things that were aggro, and the giant water striders. Everything else seemed like it could be on Earth.
People often overlook the animals that are on our own planet, but we have some really weird shit. Cephalopods are an easy example of this.
The viewers won't care for different colored blobs. We can only relate when things are loosely based on what we know or expect.
Given how prevalent photo-reactive proteins are on Earth and how eyes have derived from them independently many many times it’s actually very plausible that life on other planets evolve eyes as well. This was personally my biggest gripe with Darwin IV, the alien’s complete lack of eyes. That was corrected in the Discovery special, however.
>That was corrected in the Discovery special, however.
Can I have a quick rundown on that? Did they revisit the show and Lucas'ed in some extra shots?

That's interesting. I didn't know that. Are there any other common things that have evolved independently on Earth?
>tfw Walt Disney was able to think more abstractly than “real” sci-fi artists
youtu.be
Bats and whales both use echo location.
Wings of reptiles, birds, mammals and insects.
>We can only relate when things are loosely based on what we know or expect.
95% of sci fi creatures are tame imitations of real life organisms.
Lol the fucking cope
Based
They combined a fish with a vagene. Based
>can barely be brought down with a machine gun in one scene
>can be taken out with a shotgun or sword in another
i dunno dudes, 95% of all the different evolutionary branches of all animals on earth, insects and lizards too have eyes above the mouth, ears on the side, a central body where all the vital shit is. honestly i think if we ever find an alien planet we'd be pretty disappointed. what would make animals on other planets evolve so differently?
That its not earth
