quirky slapstick does not make it better. It should have stayed as a horror franchise and then we wouldn't have gotten the abortion known as Ash vs Evil Dead.

Godfather 2 is a lot of peaks and valleys. Most of the flashback stuff isn't that great but Michael's scenes in the present are objectively better than anything in the first movie

Bad Lieutenant: POCNO - Are you fucking CRAZY dude? Yeah it's an amusing movie with yet another amusing Nic Cage performance but the original BL is a masterpiece with one of the greatest performances ever by Harvey Keitel.

Evil Dead 2 - Pleb opinion to prefer this one. It's fun and stupid but the original is a horror masterpiece.

Shrek 2 - Again unless you're watching this with a woman (who mentally might as well be children) you're trying to fuck there is no reason to watch a fucking kids movie.
