>arthouse
I hate this fucking word and anybody who uses it. Because every fucking shit eating hipster movie director thinks that their film is arthouse, that it's "intellectually deep". Deep in asshole perhaps. When someone describes a film as arthouse, they're not referring to it's message, or its artistic value, or "experimentation". No no no.
What arthouse really means is that this film is poorly written, poorly edited, poorly acted, with shots that are too long, some of kind of unnecessary colour washing, is almost always shot in overcast weather, is usually about faggoty ass forbidden romance or neo-nihilism. and directed by a guy with his head so far up his own fucking ass that his he's wearing his large intestine as a onesie.
Arthouse is the banana duct taped to the wall of film. It's a meaningless pile of shit used for tax write offs that utter retards with ridiculous haircuts claim are deep and intellectual.
If you don't like the films of Jean Luc Godard, then I'm afraid we can't be friends. Got it??

Reminder that Suspiria is giallo and nothing anyone says here can change that!
agreed
based
we get it you like marvel movies
t.
Who are old Hollywood directors that were secretly part of the elite?
How much of a retard can you be, "arthouse" is not the equivalent of "kino".
You don't shout "arthouse" when you encounter
a kino scene.
Also this thread is for intellectual discussion, the discussion that is considered intellectual not the said arthouse.
you look like a jew
looks like your standard marvel fanboy
Reminder that if people posting in these threads made movies, they'd all be Xavier Dolan movies.
This is why you are weak, and why you fail.
This has to be the shittiest of shit posts
This is actually the most difficult, hard hitting and profound film Tsai Ming-liang ever made.
The last two extreme long shots burn like fires of hell.
The real exit level arthouse is regularly watching new arthouse as it premieres at your local cinematheque.
Cinema theaters are dead for good
bergman probably didn't even know he was looking at the death of cinema as he knows it.
for classic films, is it generally better to get the DVD rather than the Blu-Ray?
I've heard that sometimes the Blu-Ray "remasters" can ruin the aesthetic of a film, though I guess it varies each time.
are there any specific editions to avoid?
If the disc ain't shiny on both sides, it ain't no good.
why yes I enjoy arthouse film, it's so....elegant and gratifying, much better than any silly film out at the cinema today. Whenever I finish my film i feel so enlightened, plebians today could never understand sitting through 2 hours of violent abuse against children and gore but I can because it's so DEEP. By the way have you seen "vous êtes dégoûtant et mangez beaucoup de nourriture". It's such a interesting powerful film...
