Yup The Rock is more like Reacher, not Tom Cruise, I've read all the books, and was looking forward to the films, but what a farce. How can you cast a role of a 6.6ft man to a midget
but, to be fair, the rock is such a shitty actor he would not be able to pull off the role?
that would have been a shitty casting, the rock cant pretend to be smart withouth being an asshole
Jason Wright
Wouldn't have been good casting. Reacher is massive, sure. But he's also genius level IQ. The Rock can't ever do that right. He's never done it right. Tom Cruise did a perfect job. Honestly, I think I would have preferred Cena but I have no idea if he can act.
Owen King
Most of them are good in a kinda generic "fun" way.
James Taylor
I would say the same thing, just to be polite. Let me tell you something that might be a bit dangerous. I was raised in Japan. I was schooled in martial arts. I was given the title of master. They take a movie “The Last Samurai.” They have a 5-foot-2-inch little guy, whether he was straight or gay, I don’t know. I don’t care. He had never been to Japan. He doesn’t speak Japanese. He has never held a sword. They make him the Last Samurai. We got 450,000 phone calls [laughs] from everybody in the world saying, “That role was perfect for you. How did that happen?” Most of the people I know didn’t like the film and didn’t go see it. It’s just a classic example of Hollywood and the politics.
>its a bookfag whining about a movie portrayal thread are you a manlet too, op?
Ayden Bennett
The Rock isn’t any worse an actor than Cruise is.
Anthony Edwards
I thought the first one was fine, the second was awful though.
Jace Morris
The second book sucked in the sense it aged extremely badly. The antagonists are rebelling against the US government because they believe the government is engaging in campaigns of mass surveillance and using broad propaganda campaigns to hide the fact that they're basically shitting all over the constitution. This belief is portrayed as weird and ridiculous, because the noble US government would never do something like that!
Talk about 90's optimism.
Joseph James
Tom Cruise is a much better actor than the Rock overall. Rock is good at comedy and action. Cruise is capable of everything because he's fucking insane.
Bentley Myers
>dwayne is 47 how many more years of litty kino do we get, 7? 10?
I would like to see the Rock actually put on a wig for once for a role
Oliver Flores
>The Rock isn’t any worse an actor than Cruise is brainlet. tom cruise doesnt make bad films. except knight and day. but we dont talk about that here.
meanwhile the rock shits out multiple pissy litty turds every year. i cant remember the last movie i saw the rock on that i enjoyed. the rundown 15 years ago, maybe?
Owen Bell
A lot more. As long as he stays in shape he can keep acting for decades. Even if he loses his starpower, he can still work as a villain or mentor.
Ryder Wood
Hugh Jackman was the best name
Parker Lee
Dunno, at what point does a man get saggy tits?
Mason Watson
Say, user. Do you happen to have that other edit of this, where Vin is like a baby sitting in the Rock's hands?
Honestly making the first two books as movies would've been pretty litty. But desu, Die Trying is worth a read
Dominic Miller
This but the first one was meh
Matthew Kelly
Rock is only 6’2’’ so he’s also too short to play Reacher
Carter Perry
bigger than Tom Smarter than Tom STRONGER THAN TOM
Brayden Bailey
Not really. The difference is just a few inches and he's still going to be taller than most people he'll interact with on screen. The big selling point for Johnson is that he has a similar body type to Reacher in terms of size and muscle.
Eli Cooper
>this guy is tall and has a long reach, what can we call him? >Jack.... Jack Reacher >excellent
