Coworker asks me if I saw the Steven Universe finale

>coworker asks me if I saw the Steven Universe finale
>he's a 28 year old man
Why are more and more adults watching cartoons these days? It wasn't like this before. When I was in middle school you were considered a baby for still watching cartoons

>family guy
>simpsons
>south park
>etc
adults have been watching cartoons for decades zoomer faggot.

>friend says marvel movies are for children
>Loves batman and superman movies

Am I retarded for thinking he's a hypocrite? I can enjoy both for what they are.

"No, coworker, I did not see it, how did it go"

It's that easy not to be an autistic fuck.

there's a huge difference between those shows and Cartoon Network

These are for adults, Steven Universe isn't. It's from tranny kids.

you know damn well those you mentioned are completely different from CN/nick kiddy bullshit like steven universe, adventure time, etc. stop playing dumb or if you're not pretending, kys old man.

not really, they're all lowbrow dogshit

that's nothing new flintstones tom&jerry road runner pink panther etc. were pretty popular with adults back then

I'm not a DCfag by any means, but classic Superman (I and II) and Batman ('89 and Nolan) movies have a lot of deeper themes. Even Hack Snyder's stuff has symbolism. Marvel is popcorn entertainment.

There’s a lot of adult jokes in those cartoons. If anything I’d say that era was family entertainment as opposed to children’s.

would it be better or worse if he asked about anime instead

>watching a video
>the creator makes a joke about people in their late 20s still watching cartoons like spongebob and stuff
>some guy in the comments says "For real though, you shouldn't be watching spongebob as a grown ass adult"
>500+ replies of people trying to justify why it's ok and why the guy who made the comment is actually the immature one

You should have called him a faggot and ask if he actually has a neo-vagina since Steven Universe is the most flagrant example of (((cartoons)))) made with the sole intent of warping and perverting our children's minds.

there's literally a scene where that ugly fat grey dyke scissors with the tall ugly nigress dyke.

intended for adults maybe, but similarly to m rated video games the primary consumer of them is teenagers.
>completely different
maybe regarding the subject matter but the genre is still trash.

Most cartoons are made with kids and adults in mind because the assumption is that parents watch these shows with their kids.
That's why most cartoons are full of hidden jokes that only the parents will understand.
I have a coworker who is in his 40's and he told me how he started watching Adventure Time with his son and now he's really into it himself.

people grew up and realized you should just do what you want

Adult jokes in cartoons hasn't gone away.

"Just doing what you want" is what creates a childish attitude. Being an adult means living with structure and following certain rules. If you're an anarchist, then by all means wake up at 1PM like a teenager on a snow day. Adults have work to do.

I agree but there was a good stretch in the 80’s and 90’s when cartoons were more focused on being solely for children. I think modern cartoon writers are aware they have adult followings so they pepper in more adult jokes.

Only children, women and the mentally feeble care about whether the way they think and act is "childish" and socially-approved. High IQ adults do what they like.

we live to consoom user

Did you laugh in his face?

Does The Godfather lose its profoundness if it’s a cartoon instead? No, still worth watching.

That said, SU is trash, even by kid standards.

You have to realize that acting like an adult is just a form of conformity that is engaged in by low-status people to fit in. They don't have any value in their social group and conforming is life-or-death for these poeple. Smart, valuable people know they will get approval whether or not they do everything else the herd does. They can do their own thing and people will still respect them because they're not losers.

>following certain rules
>like not watching kid's cartoons, that's a rule
>wasting your life posting bait on Yas Forums is another rule I follow to the letter

If he asked you, you must look like someone who would enjoy it

Only pure autism could drive such an obsession over that bland character from such a dull anime.

Steven Universe is how trannies and other sexual weirdos signal to eachother their identity, it’s best to stay oblivious

based

Look at this loser LAMO

I never like spongebob as a kid. I still don't like it; ignore all spongebob shit on here for years. Normalfags now send decades old spongebob memes now.

There's literally nothing wrong with watching cartoons, at any age, it's what motion picture was made more.
There is something deeply wrong about watching Steven Universe though.
I watched it until I turned 18 and stopped just because it had become so boring and samey. 2 years later I was at an Art Group and some fat, balding mid-20s guy asked this girl if she'd watched Steven Universe, she said no and asked what it was and he acted all shocked like "YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF STEVEN UNIVERSE!!???".
It was a disgusting display on childish behavior.

Meanwhile I watch depraved shit like Kill La Kill and King Star King.

>a 28yo man

wow that sounds so impressive you fucking noob.

>Dark satire of the American family and western culture in general
