You know how the Avatar State is the combined knowledge of all the past Avatar Spirits? Not anymore, since in Korra the Avatar State is just channeling the shitty half of a bad yin yang homage called Raava.
Speaking of past Avatars, in the final episodes the Dark Avatar (yes you read that right) channels the evil half of the yin yang deity, sucks Raava out of Korra, and then smacks Raava so hard all the past Avatar Spirits are straight up deleted permanently. So the next Avatar after Korra only has Korra to give them advice; someone who was literally handed everything she needed and didn't need to try for anything.
This isn't even talking about how the bridge between the spirit world and the real world are actual bridges, how blood bending can now be done without a full moon and can permanently take away the ability to bend, how every fire bender can bend lightning, how every earth bender can bend metal and made an EVA sized mech once, and many many more bullshit stuff the writers behind Korra ruined their own story with.
Dont watch Korra.

The show should have had a fourth season where Aang rebuilds the air nation, using his energy bending to give people he seems worthy a portion of his bending powers. I'm a sucker for a reprise, and the fire lord wasn't an interesting enough villain to warrant being the final hurdle.

I think even Kishimoto wasn't sure at first. When Orochimaru is first introduced in the forest he looks like a woman, later he changes appearances again and looks more like a man, and then we get a flashback to him as a child where he looks like a girl again.
