Just rewatched this with my parents. An overdue sequel had no right being this good

Furiosa was my favourite character

Why did they have to interrogate Deckard off world? Honestly I didn't get that.

kek
though the same thing could easily be said for Fury Road.

Lol it was literally just a tech demo for dune lmao.

he said they had ways of making him talk, so I'm guessing that was an allusion to some torture devices that may be illegal on the planet? really, really flimsy reasoning, basically just an excuse to get in a set piece

Actually that makes sense. Then again, who would actually stop them from doing that in their impenetrable pyramid HQ?

The seawall scene was amazing though so I can't complain

please be good

It will look amazing.
But absolutely butcher the books if they have truly cast some black women to play the stoic male hero.

We are truly blessed to have gotten this movie.

>with my parents
Cringe kill yourself faggot.

I didnt read this before posting this Unagi

Watched last night.

Ending was dumb

a real human bean

Tleilaxu machines aren't human.

What made you thinkn that? Most people feel ending was kino

I unironically wish Joe was special. It would've made for a better story.

>Cringe kill yourself faggot.
Why are you so mad that I enjoy spending time with my parents and introduce them to kino?
It's not too late to call them, you know.

It’s not good though it’s literally soulless

It was too satisfying of a conclusion for everyone. Deckard should have died

The ending only makes sense if you conclude that drunkard literally gives zero fucks about k. As evident by him knowing k had been shot and was cupping his wound.

K died alone, knowing the woman he loved didn't really exist, being told he wasn't special and bled out on a cold concrete staircase. It wasn't a satisfying conclusion for him.

>soulless
>literally the entire film deals with themes of soul, self, and identity
>main character is soulless

seems like it did exactly what it was trying to then if you felt that way

secound

>overdue sequel
It's started. Zoomers already believe that these cynical cash-grab schemes based on IP recognition are something that they should expect and even "deserve."

Should I watch this again? Part 1 is my favorite movie of all time. I didn't like part 2 as much, seemed long and stagnant and too much bs. what do?

I don't know man, I can enjoy both for separate reasons. It's nice to just kick back and immerse yourself in the life of Deckard and K

it was actually good though
and felt closer to the novel than the original

It was overdue because of how old Harry is in this. They should've tried this sooner if they ever planned to.

why would he? he's a machine

The most dishonest film of the 21st century.

Okay so another thing that bothered me... Why couldn't he make another Replicant like Rachael? He had her bones, he had all the time and resources in the world to test and perfect...so what reason was there for this?

Attached: Blade-Runner-2049-0430.jpg (1920x799, 133.52K)

Either way they both bombed lol.

Lmao, brainlet.

>”Dying for the right cause is the most human thing we can do”

He was satisfied having reunited a father with his child. Because that made him more human than most replicants

Because they're old fucks, they don't give a shit about movies like this. It's almost as bad as forcing your parents to watch anime. You have no social awareness, kill yourself autistic faggot.

he's blind mate

It relentlessly insists upon itself

are there any films with a similar cozy feel like the first one? closest I can think is tron

But they enjoyed it. They enjoy a lot of films I share with them. We have meaningful discussion afterwords, well... at least my Mom and I.

the novel is about humans who behave like machines and machines who behave like humans
the original is just hollywood slock with retarded monologues and 'OMG WHO IS A MACHINE YOU CANT TELL' superficial bullshit
the sequel is at least closer to the actual point of the novel

>An overdue sequel had no right being this good.
It's actually better than the original.

I agree

Sure they did, kid.

the novel sucks

Honestly I don't understand your bitterness, but I guess that's your problem not mine.

Where do you think we are?

depends how smart you are

>OMG WHO IS A MACHINE YOU CANT TELL
did you even watch it

no.
the novel itself was about humans questioning whether they could be robots, and androids demonstrating humanity.
meanwhile, in the shitball name-banking 'sequel', it has robots behaving like robots, humans barely visible. no point at all.

yes
evidently you didn't

smart enough to know that PKD was an ideas guy who can't write

The movie never makes it a mystery out of who is or isn't a replicant so I have no idea what you are talking about
>unicorn
Scott retardation, this is obviously contentious

>tfw I'm an ideas guy who idolizes Dick
