Baby Boomers shit all over Ang Lee's HULK film because "muh CGI!!!!"

>Baby Boomers shit all over Ang Lee's HULK film because "muh CGI!!!!"
>It was an excellent film just too much dialogue and needed more action sequences

Ang Lee's Hulk was one of the best adaptations of a superhero character. Maybe remove the gimmicky comic book transitions maybe. The Incredible Hulk was weird.. It was literally the opposite of Ang Lee's Hulk so more action and less storytelling but it just made the film fall flat because there was not much to make us feel for any of the characters. In Ang Lee's Hulk there was a lot of backstory and character development. I'd say it was just a little too deep for a Hulk film. But the exploration of Bruce Banner and his Father made it incredibly kino. It's unfortunately Baby Boomers had to ruin this films success with their retardation.

I didn't get a chance to watch this in theaters when it released, but I agree. It's up there with the Raimi's Spiderman films as one the best adaptations released. My only criticism would be the odd/stilted stylized comic panel editing implemented. I understand the concept, but I don't think it translated to film very well at least in this case.

IMO this is THE best standalone Hulk film to date.

>baby boomers

....literally have nothing to do with ang Lee's hulk, you obessed zoomer

Yes they did retard. Look at all the old reviews in the early-2000's I was 12 when that movie came out. All these baby boomers wanted an IRL Hulk actor which was retarded.

I recall a big criticism being that the Hulk looked too green, but in this case the film stayed true to the comic book roots. The Hulk is cartoonishly green.

No one wanted that, you fucking idiot, most of the criticism of the movie came from the comic paneling and disjarred scene transitions

>No one wanted that, you fucking idiot
You're fucking stupid. Do your research. And yes they did complain about what you mentioned you absolute faggot. People hated the CGI hulk. It was the same boomers complaining about the CGI in the Prequel films. Again, do your research and stop acting like a know it all.

>doesn't know what gen x is or when gen y started
you sound like a retarded zoomer

>Maybe remove the gimmicky comic book transitions maybe
>just too much dialogue and needed more action sequences
Fucking zoomer. The movie is perfect as it is.

>People hated the CGI hulk. It was the same boomers
>boomers
>boomers

You are a fucking idiot

Not him but it actually had. They wanted a man with green paint. They got comic book Hulk + kino. The movie never stood a chance with the 30-50 years people.

The special effects and Nick Nolte in general were the only good things about this movie.
Jennifer Connelly and Eric Bana acted like blocks of wood, and I know that was Lee's fault because they've done decent jobs in other flicks like Troy.

Implying that would be a bad thing? Worked for Ferrigno Hulk. Typical zoomie brainlet, needs three hours of CGI to think anything's good.

Yeah, the comic paneling just didn't work.

I appreciate they tried something different, especially with how samey these movies have become, but it just completely did not work.

Are you serious? It would look so fucking silly lmfaooo

The dogs looked retarded. The sequoias and Hulk getting bigger/stronger/more brutal the angrier he got saved that scene, but the dogs looked undeniably retarded.

The Arizona desert sequence was absolute kino of the highest orders, though.

as someone who has anger issues this movie spoke to me when i was a teen
its no wonder mcu fags who dont know real rage hate this movie

Sorry, I care about results, and why I wont say you cant do kino with a painted man, we had 3 movies with a painted man that were shit, and 2003 Hulk is kino of the highest caliber. Then again we also had 5 cgi MCU Hulk movies that were shit, so I guess its hard to compare. Bottom line, Hulk 2003 is kino.

Always the same fucking frame in a 2 hours movie as example of why the panels dont work while it works perfectly the rest of the other 2 fucking hours movie. Sorry you got memed son. The rest of the movie is not like that.

>we had 3 movies with a painted man that were shit
Sorry they didn't have enough MCU-style CG bells and whistles to keep your brain involved, kid
But functional adults know that the TV Hulk was real kino

is his dad the abomination?

Absorbing Man

The series had some moments. Specially the soundtrack. The tv movies certainly not. And Hulk 2003 is a damn top tier kino.

Mostly based on absorbing man.

>Baby Boomers
...you keep using that word

>shit all over Ang Lee's HULK film because "muh CGI!!!!"
It was a decent movie. The look of the Hulk wasn't all that great. And the look of those dogs he fought were a little silly. But I didn't mind. The only thing I really didn't like was the "boss fight" at the end.

>needed more action sequences
I absolutely love the sequence where the Hulk escaped from the underground bunker. That was the best action sequence of any superhero movie around that time. Some people were bothered by the comic panels but they didn't bother me at all.

As much as I enjoyed Lee's movie, I enjoyed Norton's Hulk even more.

That was the best one

> I enjoyed Norton's Hulk even more.
Oh, explains a lots of thing. Literally no plot, no drama, no characters, 2 hours of Hulk smashing terrible looking cars and army people. I guess thats what a lot of people want from a Hulk movie but it doesnt make a good film.

And no, a shitty scene of a suicide doesnt make the movie mature or dark or whatever excuse Norton use.

>The tv movies certainly not.
Nope, Death of the Hulk was legit. Its end fight scene alone was better than Lee Hulk's with the TAKE IT AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLL cringe.

One of the best capeshit scenes ever.

>TAKE IT AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLL cringe.
That was fucking based

Superman Returns is kino as well.

Hulk's fight with that bear, bad flying bear effects and all >>>>>>>>>> SLEEEEEEEEP, BRUCE

Cringe

>turn Superman into a deadbeat father just to prop up a single mom story starring Lois Lane

>have Superman forget the lesson he learned at the end of Superman 2 just to make the plot happen
Returns is a mistake of cinema. This is fact.

Indeed, SLEEEEEEEEP, BRUCE was fairly cringe
