i think the last barely managed to be better than H20 with some shit that was even dumber. so this will probably be like Resurrection but takes itself too seriously

>Michael goes full scat
No!

The appeal isn't nastiness. I hope it's not just pointless kills.

Friendly reminder that Freddy is the best slasher.

>get's wrecked by a guy whose origin story is about his mom

I predict it will be filled with “nasty” women like the last one. I expect the ending to be like the ending to Death Wish when the girls beat the shit out of Kurt Russell. Halloween 2018 was pure fucking cringe.

I don't know if these people really got the appeal of the original Halloween. It was tense and dark but never a gorefest. Hell, some of the deleted scenes from the last one felt more appropriate tonally for a sequel to the original than a lot of the stuff they left in.

Mike Myers changes his name to Halloween and says "Dr. Loomis, I'm Halloween".

>Death Wish when the girls beat the shit out of Kurt Russell.
They raped him and Charles Bronson vowed revenge

>Halloween 2018 was pure fucking cringe
how would you have changed it? seemed better than 90% of the franchise to me but maybe the soundtrack tricked me

I was looking forward to a sequel of 2018, but not two of them.
Now this is pointless, you know that the entire main cast is going to survive until the final one.

Early leaks is that Laurie's daughter gets killed

That's what they said about the last one. "Return to form" and "brutal" bullshit, and it was fucking dogshit.

what is up with that naming convention? "Halloween Kills"? sounds like a tagline or something...

"Michael! Say goodbye to these!"

How did he get out? Let hear it bros. I'm guessing the fire collapsed a different part of the basement roof and he escaped. Or he smashed through the wall or someshit

It's the Batman Forever of Halloween titles

The man in the basement was actually a paramedic with a crushed larynx who wandered in by mistake

he can't keep getting away with this

Coming from an actor who certainly hasn’t seen any of the original movies but the first I assume.

There’s no way it could be 10 times as “nasty” as Zombie’s Halloween 2. The needless edge in that movie is legendary.

that was my first thought. how could it be nastier than RZH2. guess we could be wrong though...

Not him but it was supposed to be a big deal that they completely wiped the slate and made a follow up to the original but it just came off like an average installment in the franchise with Jamie Lee Curtis being thrown around like a rag doll out of second story windows and shrugging it off. That shit got ridiculous when Bruce Willis does it let alone this bitch.

I would have played up the senior citizen angle of both Laurie and Michael where hes still a psycho killing people but not lifting them off the ground and dumb shit like that. That worked when he was the boogieman but here its just another sequel

I doubt it can get much "nastier" than H6, which is pretty brutal for a Halloween movie.

Talking about main series Halloween, not Zombie's shitty movies.

No we wont be, its just marketing. Rob Zombie had a pointless gratuitous rape scene in one of his movies for fucks sake and Halloween 2018 didnt even have the balls to have Michael kill a baby in its crib because it might have made people uncomfortable while shoveling popcorn in their mouths

But... he's still a boogeyman. He was a boogeyman in the original. That was the entire point of the original. He was evil incarnate and an almost supernatural force of killing.

I wouldn't know, I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes of that shit. So cringe. Felt like it would ruin then entire franchise if I watched any further. I got filtered hard I guess

What was dumb about the reboot?

the only good part of the last one was his one take killing spree and that laurie wasn't his sister and he didn't care who she was

The quote in the article just says Halloween movies, and if you go by your logic 2018 Halloween ignored all except the first, so being the most brutal isn’t exactly an impressive title.

I felt like they tried too hard to appeal to a younger audience with the laurie's daugher-daughter plot. but the soundtrack was amazing, easily carpenters best, the mask looked great, the atmosphere was pretty good with the mental hospital vibe and neighborhood stalking. It was a solid B for me. Disappointing ending, glad there is a trilogy to make up for it.

Yeah and when they try to continue that on it doesnt work on the same level they act like it does. Maybe if it was just Michael doing impossible shit as a senior citizen but again they have Laurie shrugging off crippling injuries and spitting out one liners.

Thats why im saying its just an average movie in the franchise when the whole "ignore everything but the original" gimmick was supposed to free them up to make something better than that

>Touches kids
>Cringe Dad Jokes
>Lost any sort of edge after the second one

Or

>Based Necronomicon fueled Zombie
>Respects and loves his mother
>Kills degenerates
>Has more enjoyable sequels then Nightmare on Elm Street

>baby in a crib
that's just try-hard. the threat of it was sufficient.
