They aren't crying that their jobs are hard, they're crying that part of their job means floating their content in an ocean of content controlled by a third party, YouTube, whose algorithm for connecting that content to the users, and therefore getting you money, is secret, and changes often. I can certainly see why that would be frustrating and if I were running the world's economy, I'd want some accountability from such a huge platform.

Fucking this. I have no problem with youtubers doing it full time and whatever but that seems to be what most of them do now. So many sponsors, so little passion. The few hobby channels I still watch generally do animation or have less thank 50k subscribers.
