Maybe that means your brain stayed the same juvenile age

it does
if you say it doesn't you're a transphobe.

it does, comedy should always be used to snap at those in power.

Frasier and Cheers are just as funny now as they were then. Frasier was masterful at leaving out pop culture and topicsl events. They never directly addressed 9/11, or any specific wars.

The closest they came was advertising they did for Microsoft. Bill Gates showed up at the stydio one episode and promotes Windows 95.

Non-verbal comedy is always fresh, verbal comedy ages like milk unless it is the absolute best of the best.

Comedy is just fine the problem is with the viewers that are slaves to whatever new social trend is popular. None of these people give a fuck about trannies or anything else but they are condition to think x is in bad taste so they do.
Give it a few years and a new group will replace x and the cycle will repeat itself.

For some reason trannies really get offended by old Jim Carrey stuff.

Classic Simpsons did the same thing. Like Frasier the film, tv and literature it did reference was the ageless classics.

Depends on the type of comedy. Usually physical comedy ages well, but comedy heavily reliant on topical humor and pop culture references won't. Situational comedy can age fairly well if the situations are still relevant.

A lot of comedy relies heavily on pop culture references so obviously that stuff ages poorly. You show a kid Waynes World today and 80% of the jokes will fly right over their head.

But Dumb and Dumber is the best comedy film of all time so its impervious to the flow of time.

this dude made a video complaining that the Sonic movie wasn't political enough.

I would advise you stay the fuck away from him and block anyone who links him.

This is an excuse to hate Ace Ventura which still rules

>block anyone who links him.
keep your friends close and your enemies closer

>lovecraft adaptations should be about the horrors of marginalized sexual minorities
The most retarded take you could have about "lovecraftian horror", no wonder he supports tranny organizations

Depends on the comedy. I still find the Naked Gun series to be hilarious.

Art does not "age." God I hate this fucking meme.

>This is dated
>It hasn't aged well
It translates to
>It's more than 10 years old and I'm too much of a retard to explain why I didn't like it

This dude literally raised 340k to an organization that gives kids gender reassignment surgery kek

comedy isn't art and can only work in the time it was made, it should also be used to take swipes at the powerful.

Airplane! is a perfect example of this. almost of the jokes rely on word play. making the movie still incredibly funny to this day

Some comedies age poorly, but not all do.
Let's take the examples of Mel Brooks most famous films.
Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, and Robin Hood Men in Tights all rely heavily on pop culture references, gags related to classic cinema in-jokes, and subtle adult euphemisms. But the first 3 of those can be enjoyed with only the most cursory knowledge of their genres because the comedy comes from the visible jokes of the setting, not purely pop culture references. Have you ever seen a western movie? You'll laugh at Blazing Saddles. Have you ever seen a scifi movie? You'll laugh at Spaceballs. Have you ever seen a monster movie, Scooby Doo episode, or gone trick-or-treating? You'll laugh at Young Frankenstein.
But if you watch Robin Hood Men In Tights without having previously watched The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) or Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), and you weren't a teenager or adult between the years 1987-1993, the only joke you're going to get is the one about circumcision.

nice trips
awful b8

What about the hilarious episode where the plot was resolved by oreos and at the end they all eat oreos
