I am a brooding loner who has a dark mysterious past. I choose to be alone and avoid other people. I regularly take the night train throughout Tokyo as neon lights shadow across my face and rain patters down the window. Moner is local waitress who's life hasn't turned out as she hoped. Our paths cross every night as we board the same train, however we both have different stops and the scene always ends with Moner leaving the train at her stop as mine continues. She at first is bemused by me but there's something that draws her to my natural aura and charisma. I have very little dialogue but we can understand that my character has incredible depth by viewing shots of my eyes. We develop an unspoken bond and it's clear there's something that connects us. Conflict arises as she gets kidnapped by a local triad gang due to her struggling father's debts. It's up to me to brutally track down her assailants and murder them in horrific circumstances. I spend the night searching for clues and each location brings a new fight and a new lead. There is a scene in a dark nightclub with strobe lights flashing where I fight several men on the dancefloor and it is a 5 minute continuos unbroken shot. The movie ends with me saving Moner but I am fatally wounded. Moner is unconscious and I choose to return her to her father but I depart without saying goodbye in a bittersweet ending that sees me bloodily limp onto the train. The camera focuses on me looking out the window as rain pours down and drops of blood roll down my face. The train reaches it's destination and the camera ambiguously cuts to black.
