Rise of Skywalker Artbook Confirms that REY Is The True Chosen One

>In the recently released art book, "Star Wars: The Art of the Rise of Skywalker," the film's production designer Rick Carter expressed his view on Rey as the Chosen One. Carter has an impressive résumé, having completed production design on famous films like Forrest Gump, Jurassic Park, and The Force Awakens.
>Rian Johnson opened Star Wars up to the possibility that, Rey is not a Skywalker by blood, then being the mythological Skywalker is something you can aspire to achieve in your life - which I think is great. It's not only your destiny based upon birth.
And there you have it. The Prophecy NEVER hinted at either Anakin or Luke being the Chosen One. It was actually hinting that ANYONE could be a mythological paragon, and Rey happened to be the one. Prequelfags BTFO.

this changes my life bros

Sequels aren't canon.

Is this going to be like that visual guide that even other people working on Star Wars will ignore?

I remember when they separated the Extended Universe to "Legends" and made it a separate canon from the films. I was pissed at the time. Now, considering how badly they've butchered the cinematic universe, I'm retroactively grateful.

This.

That... was not what the fucking Phantom Menace prophecy said. It didn't say anything about Skywalkers.

for fuck's sake

>taking fanfiction as fact

Yes, as they should ignore it.
Anything outside of the movies (well even some of the movies, Solo, Rise of Skywalker) is fanfiction garbage
