A lot of the people seen in the documentary were either bonkers, or scumbags, or both. And the ones that seemed the least crazy still had lifestyles that didn't appear very normal or well-adjusted.

You’re so confused. It’s a flagship Netflix documentary with quality content, and yeah it’s been shilled a good bit. It's literally viral marketing through memes by Netflix to impressionable people who do have only the ability to follow trends after they realized how successful it was for abducted in plain sight. The first ones that started to appear were basically "lol watch tiger king its crazy." after that the memes became more "organic". Trash TV sells well, simple as.

It's a documentary about big cat owners and how they're literally all fucked up. The most "normal" one is an ex coke dealer that they based Scarface on, a man who stood by and watched his friend chop a body up with a saw and did some time for his role in it.
