stuck home cause of the quarantine, and I've been watching the friday series with my girlfriend most of them kinda suck but there's such an undeniable charm to them
I'd be curious to know what you think about them and I'd also like to power rank them
I love them because of nostalgia from watching them as a kid over and over. I haven't watch them for years though.
From what I remember; 3-2-1-Crispin Glover's dance moves-the rest
Levi Rodriguez
next friday>friday
Grayson Martinez
Your girlfriend is a whore and I hope she gets raped lol
Grayson Miller
The first four all great, zombie Jason a shit
Lincoln Robinson
You don't know his girlfriend. She might be a nice girl, at least she marathoned Friday the 13th with him
Camden Thompson
>6 that high yikes
Jack Sanders
>my girlfriend get out normalnigger
Asher Campbell
why aren't you getting her pregnant?
Landon Cruz
Based recognizes the Original as the slasher classic that it is user. Not a lot of us left brother.
Matthew Torres
LOL

There are two types of F13th fans, the kind who like the original premise and the ones who like the goofier turn the series takes in its second half. I am of the latter type, but this will at least explain to you why everyone's lists are likely to be pretty different.
X>6>vs. Freddie>7>2>8>4>3>1>5>9>remake

It seems like every faggot these days ranks the original really low and thinks he's being unique or transgressive or some shit. Every F13 thread I hear this: >HURR IT'S JUST A HALLOWEEN/TCM KNOCKOFF DURR
Daniel Rodriguez
I rank the original pretty low and I'm not trying to be unique or transgressive at all, I just personally find the movie to be rather dull. More power to you if you like it though.
Christian Bell
meh, what you call "dull" I call creepy, realistic and tense. But Incan understand finding it "boring" if you watch it with the lights on smoking weed and making fun of it as you watch, which I guess is the proper way to watch the later stupid zombie Jason flicks
Blake Sullivan
I saw Part 2 yesterday and found it hilarious. Just watching Jason being so messy, tripping over everything, and falling through the chair during the bed/rake scene. And the way he acted cute when the final girl pretended to be the mother. What did you think of Part 2 user?
Nathaniel Collins
Exactly. Everybody treats the first like its another dumb Jason fistfights a squid schlockfest. To me the goofy later ones are the boring ones. The original is like you said actually creepy and has an atmosphere to it missing in the sequels (2-4 had their moments of it though).
I never got the whole "it ripped off Halloween and TCM" thing. All three films feel and look totally different from each other with three very different soundtracks. I l know even the makers of Friday 1 say they "just ripped off Halloween" but I think they sold themselves short.
Ethan Gonzalez
Nah, I like creepy and realistic thrillers, I've enjoyed The Strangers, Don't Look Now, The Exorcist, etc. The issue is that if you want me to enjoy a more realistic movie I've got to care about the characters which in the Friday the 13th films I don't. I enjoy those films for the camp and cool kills, if I wanted an actually tense movie there are dozens of much, much better films out there.
Gabriel Morgan
I like all of them but 4 is the best one for me
Leo Ross
Been rewatching the chainsaw series. Man 2 is so underrated it is criminal.
Some people meme, but I really think this is the best ending shot in cinema
Ethan Allen
It really is great. Just like the endings to Halloween and Friday The 13th. All three very different endings with three very different styles but all ultra memorable.
Oliver Davis
semi relevant, evil dead franchise worth watching alone?
Nathan Ward
It's in the top 3 for me. Those few seconds of film elevate the whole thing. If by alone you mean with beer then yes.
Yes. It's actually one of the franchises where I think it turning more comedic over time worked in it's favor. But it's also just a visual treat to watch, especially part 2.
Dylan Reyes
I consider the original a 10/10 classic. 2 is fun. Remake is okay one watcher. I didn't care for AOD or the show.
Most tend to love 2 the most.
Tyler Evans
Absolutely, just be aware that the tone shifts quite a bit between the three movies. If you dislike the first one you still may like the sequels and vice versa.
Josiah Moore
For me
6 > 2009 = 4 > 3 = 2 > FVJ > 1 = 5 > X > 8 > 7 > 9 I get why some don't like 6 but I enjoy watching Tommy find peace.
They were very spooky when watched on a VHS copy of a copy. The shitty picture quality hid the flaws and elevated the creepy mood when you couldn't quite tell if something was hiding in that smudgy darkness.
They look really terrible and cheap (which they were) on HD. But they still have a bit of charm in them.
Isaac Perry
>2009 in 2nd place BASED
People are going to come around to it eventually, I just know it
Dylan James
For me. 6>4>5>2>7>3>X>remake>8>FvJ>1>9
Brody Taylor
I remember playing hooky to go see 2009 in theaters. Good shit.
Easton Morris
The characters in the original F13 are actually very likable, and the film itself is fantastic. You just have shit taste
Levi Jackson
What do people not like it? Thought it was one of the better horror reboots they've done
Nicholas Wilson
4 > 6 > 7 > 5 > 2 > 1 > 3 > 8 > Hell > Freddy VS Jason > X > Remake
I actually like every one except for X and the remake. This ranking is just based on which order I would want to rewatch them at this point in time. It would probably change every now and then.
Kayden Adams
I hate it. It tries to be both somewhat serious and fun at the same time and fails at both. It's just sluggish and bland and artificial like all the Platinum Dunes remakes. Yeah the fuck scene is decent and I didn't mind Jason himself but theyre stuck inside a lifeless waste of a film
Cooper King
The whole "underground tunnels" shit to try to explain how Jason teleports is pretty gay. They could have easily just made him really stealthy survivalist type and it was completely unnecessary. Also if you're going to hire girls whose only job is to get their tits out, at least make sure they aren't gross fakes first. The guy who played Jason was great though, and the kills were really cool. Overall I'd give it a 7/10
Oliver Taylor
The characters are just the same fucking teens in every horror movie, the only one who stands out is Kevin Bacon because his death is cool and also because he's Kevin fucking Bacon. You can argue for certain parts of the movie being good but the characters aren't one of them.
Nah, they're written really well and come off as real people, and the acting is a par above most slasher flicks. The main girl is especially memorable and likable. It adds to the gonzo docudrama atmosphere the film has, like you're almost watching something that really happening. 2 also accomplished this to a lesser degree, then in 3 onward they're cartoon characters.
Lol you played as Jason and didn't get a single kill you suck senpai
Jason Adams
Lol
Camden Wood
3>4>2>5>7>8>6>1>9>10
Parts 2, 3, 4 are the core of the franchise. And the best. Can't go wrong with those.
Parts 6 and 10 are light hearted and pretty comedic in tone.
Parts 1 and 9 barely have jason in them.
My personal favorite is actually part 5 despite its bad ending because its so over the top ridiculous but it has the brutal tone of part 4.
Best jason is part 7
Nathan Sullivan
I don't play online multi trash. If there isn't a single player campaign mode it's worthless crap. I miss the days when making a game that doesn't have singleplayer mode was unthinkable, fuck zoomers and their shitty online games.
Asher Lee
New bad old good. -you
Justin Jackson
I'm a retard with awful taste. -you
