I feel bad for the police always dealing with crack heads and druggies and I feel bad for the druggies because once you get hooked or get a criminal record you are fucked. Your life is ruined and only 1% of those people make it back to a normal life, the rest are stuck being hookers and drug dealers.

I'm totally fine with having strict rules around drugs. They are a cancer on our society. BUT we need to change how it is handled. If you use drugs it should not be illegal. If you give drugs or sell them to somebody that should be illegal. If you are charged with anything related to drugs it should be it's own type of charge and not restrict you from certain things like getting a job or traveling.

Addiction help should be free and offered to everybody down on skid row. If you commit crimes related to getting money to fund your drug habbit then you should have the option to 'dry out' in a work camp and be shipped to some distant logging camp where you can't get into trouble.

especially since they have absolutely zero qualms about planting evidence. even when they're wearing bodycams, every so often one of them gets caught but nothing happens.
there are thousands of people in US prisons on 25+ year sentences because of planted evidence.
