Sandman is still a great comic but it did get rather frustrating that every single female (aside from the furies) was somehow this super imaginative and wonderful person who was always right and deep down deserved the utmost respect and caring while every other dude was some deranged sex pervert. There are evil/banal women out there as well Gaiman, they aren't all secretly your manic pixie dream girlfriend.
But Gaiman doesn't berate or humiliate anyone either. He just calmly explains to them that he misunderstood the meaning of his writing, asking them to reread it. And he basically only get attacked BECAUSE he's married to her. It's amazing.
