How long will the haitus be after the christmas special? I'm thinking season 13 wont air till late 2022
Why isn't this real?
>tfw there's no one autisticly talented enough to make a 50th Doctor audio
why live?
Would you fucking niggerloving fuckers get off of my board?
why?
This could be a task for lockdown
Doctor Who is dead. But one day it shall come back.
so basically nuwho has copied the formula from 90's genre shows like Buffy for 12 series now.
do you think they'll eventually change it again to suit the streaming approach? and if so how would that work out?
I prefer the more episodic format with some important episodes sprinkled throughout a Series. I don't think that it could work any other way.
A pure episodic format wouldn't work as audiences need some kind of overarching story.
One story being told throughout a series like in most streaming shows also wouldn't work. It'd unnecessarily stretch out storylines and basically make the Tardis have no use since most, if not all episodes would be in one time and mostly one place.
Space Jesus.
Done with Doctor Who now, season 12 was shit. I've started watching Jojo now
I entirely disagree. One story per series or doing shorter miniseries two or three times a year is exactly what this show needs. Think how good Children of Earth was in this style. Would require someone good to write them though.
imagine if maisie got blacked on video
There should be a sticky in every DW thread telling people not to bother with series 11 or 12 unless they're masochists or morbidly curious.
Haha that would be so weird, right haha
i'd put up with the niggers to watch that
>muh Clala
FUCK Capaldi.
jesus fuck no. Please tell me that's a shoop.
The 50th Doctor adventures would be better than Series 11 and 12.
Was Tate always going to return for Season 4 after the Runaway Bride or did it get made up as they went along?
No. From Wikipedia:
Davies originally intended the series four companion to be "Penny", a Northern woman with whom the Doctor would share a romantic attraction. After a conversation between Catherine Tate and the BBC's Jane Tranter, in which Tate expressed an interest in returning, Davies rewrote season four to bring Donna back as the new full-time companion instead.
>muh Clala
Yes.
Anyone else got britbox? Got all the classic episodes on it, I'm on the Web planet atm
Oh it's real alright
Or it will be when I've finished on audacity
>I've started watching Jojo now
remember to read the manga
Tegan and Turlough are the best companions
Good choice on RTD's part. The last thing we needed was another self-insert pretty-girl for the femoid demographic. Donna really livened up the series by actually being funny and memorable
maisie is a cute doctor
>another romantic interest companion after rose and martha
Man that would have been annoying as hell
bullet dodged
Catherine Tate was never planned to return before she talked to Tranter. Even in RTD's original draft of Stolen Earth where Elton from Love and Monsters was going to return.
i hope this and the fact people love the friendship-based pairings most will teach the showrunners to not shove in needless relationships for the doctor
Donna is the best nuwho companion desu
yes that was explained in the comment we responded to. Thanks for telling us something we already know.
I was mentioning about how even Elton was going to return before Donna.
>tfw my dad has been a massive Doctor Who fan ever since I was born
>Literally grew up watching classic who with him before the show was rebooted
>Go to conventions with him, met every classic doctor in person from Tom Baker onwards (Peter Davison was the worst to meet.)
>remember us both getting really excited for Doctor Who coming back on air back in 2005 when I was like 10
>fast forward 15 years
>He still watches, but only out of routine I think, I've stopped watching towards the end of Matt Smiths run
>Don't really talk about it anymore, he's stopped going to cons
>Still listens to Big Finish and he thinks that's the best Dr Who content coming out.
Only just stumbled across this thread today and reading through it it's like talking to my dad lol. Quite surreal.
Anyway thanks for reading my blog.
you aren't missing much, the show is utter trash since a new showrunner took over and the side content is far better
we just reminisce over better times
also rank the doctors you watched so we know you're patrician or pleb
Based Dad
It begins...
You think they fucked?
youtu.be
>Peter Davison was the worst to meet
Why?
Will it be kino?
In order or in preference?
Order I can't remember, but preference would have to be
Classic only:
2>3>6>4>1>7>5
8 I don't know where to place, I like the movie but it didn't really feel like Dr Who, and 9 was probably my favourite doctor overall but the show changed too much to compare imo.
He is really fucking autistic desu, whenever I go round he always asks me to play tabletop games with him, which I do. But he is pretty autistic and kinda hard to live with. Glad I've moved out now even though I do love him. My mum says he's started asking her to play Memoir 44 with him now because it's been so long since I've been round due to the coronavirus lockdown bollocks.
Just seemed like he didn't want to be there at all and put absolutely no enthusiasm into it. Colin Baker was my favourite because Craig Charles came over and did a little rap about them being brothers from different mothers. Great moment considering I was a massive robot wars fan as well.
This is making me want the 50th Doctor to be real.
Moff's wife is a BBC executive producer. She would have heard through the grapevine if her husband was cheating. Don't forget his mother-in-law runs Terry Nation's estate, and the moment she even thoughtt her son-in-law was fucking someone on the side, she would have cut the Daleks from the show.
God i fucking hate Craig Charles
This is the fucking greatest thing i heard today
Watch this space
that's a solid rank overall though i don't agree with 7 being so low, audio dramas with 7 and 8 might make you like them more but it's up to personal preference
and yeah 9 is definitely one of the better parts of nuwho
It's been a while since I watched it. I just remember 7 being really hit and miss and he has one of the worst fucking episodes I ever watched. Ghost Light I think it was called. It was dreadful.
I loved the actor though and Ace was one of my first crushes as a kid.
What are the essential Gnostic Doctor Who stories? So far, I can only think of:
>Silence of the Library/Forest of the Dead
>Amy's Choice
>The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon
>Ring of Akhaten
>Heaven Sent
>Extremis
>Twice Upon a Time
god damn I did not realize just how bad the whole missing episodes thing was. I have been trying to watch the highlights of old who, and really loved some of one, but two's first and second serials are lost? I tried watching the reanimated thing but its disgusting looking, and I'm so disappointed I won't get to see jamie show up, since I've heard he's great. Guess I'll skip to moonbase
If Moffat couldn't hide the John Simm twist in Series 10, no fucking way he could hide an affair from his wife or the tabloids.
Act like a man and watch the photoshoot version.
Yeah, Simm was pretty much impossible to hide, maybe he should have tried with Alex Macqueen, now that would've been unexpected
There's an interview online somewhere with Moffat and Gatiss where they talk about getting Beevers, Simm, Gomez, Jacobi and Eric Roberts for a multi master story
Like now, or back in Capaldi times? They kinda managed to do that with McGann in Big Finish recently though
>INTRODUCING JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN AS THE DOCTOR
rose a shit
Posting for Tamsin Greig 14th Doctor
clara a shit
no
The Doctor fucks.
