The one whose ass we beat.
How can other Kaijus even compete? Besides Gigan
the best godzilla of course.
FUCK FORGOT PIC
Design-wise? Any of the early-2000’s designs, with the exception of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah and Mothra (2001).
Oh, and obviously not the American one (Zilla or whatever).
Apart from "Son of Godzilla" and "Godzilla Raids Again" every single suit design in the original Showa series is pure kino imo.
Personal favourites are
>GMK
>Biollante
>Final Wars
If we're talking beyond looks, as to which Godzilla interpretation is my favourite? Probably early Showa and Heisei. Where at worst he's a straight up villain and at best he's just a petty asshole.
I love all Godzillas though. I just feel like I haven't seen my buddy since 2004, y'know? Shin Godzilla and the Legendary shit don't feel like they have the soul of the character in tact. Despite my liking a couple of those movies.
I think Big G’s character in Fibal Wars was my favorite. He’s basically just looking to kick ass without any other motive. Also he spares his bros Anguirus, Rodan, and King C.
Final Wars Godzilla is great. I love that the good guys' entire plan on the movie hinges on Godzilla being petty enough to chase them halfway across the world... and it works!
The original and Shin are my favorite designs and also my favorite Godzilla movies. GMK's is great too. I like pretty much all the designs save for some of the lesser Showa suits, but the spookier designs are my favorites because I like the more monstrous take on Godzilla. I don't care for the Legendary design very much for this reason.
He’s mossy in general.
ngl Legendary Godzilla surprised me. I love him.
Second favorite is Terror of Mechagodzilla; he embodies the Showa Era the best.
He's irradiated, so why can't he be green sometimes
I prefer the Heisei but the 2014/2019 versions got it pretty good too. (just the iterations- story not so much lol)
Depends on the suit, while it's true Godzilla was originally blackish grey and traditionally is blackish grey (The specific shade of grey they officially used was #36454F) MireGoji marked the first time Godzilla was painted green, and he has been Green a few times after that as well. If we look at unofficial source he's been green a long time, the old American posters for Godzilla were painted green this was back when movies were black and white so there was much of a disconnect back then, and that's where the meme originated.
nigga needs to hit the treadmill
Am I the only one who really likes Legendary Godzilla? He's a big strong boy.
This nigga. Say what you will about the movies, but I liked the "ancient God" presentation of Godzilla Earth
*frowns in your path*
I don't think I could pick a single favorite version of him. It's difficult. I'm pretty sure I prefer him being dark blueish gray but beyond that I'm not sure what my favorite combination of features would even be. I remember thinking he looked a little too fat in 2014.
Maybe widespread panic youtu.be
For me it's Gojirin.
So wait.
Which one is King Ghidorah and who are the other two guys
it's so nice to read godzilla nerds posting
almost as comfy as lotr lore threads
FUCK THAT SHIT NIGGA GIGAN TIME NOW
Feels good to have a long weekend, wake up and post Godzilla stuff even if there's not much to talk about just yet.
nah just kiddin lol later nerds
Thinking about some Godzilla books. Any other ebook source aside from libgen and ZLibrary?
>Japan took their symbol of nuclear horror and made an educational kids program out of it
Gotta love it
Yes
I liked the Monster Zero naming in KOTM, and the moment they reveal Ghidorah’s name was sort of eerie, until that stupid mispronunciation/gonnoreah joke happened. They had a good moment and it got ruined by quips
MegaroGoji is top tier.
Anyone got that King Kong rehab thread
/m/ here
>tfw you’ll never see Final Wars Godzilla concept get the love it deserves
He's fine, he's basically a Hollywood take on the Heisei Godzilla, both in looks and personality, which is fine by me.
>when Toho pulls off the 98 look better than Tristar
It's a cool design, but it looks more like a mutated offshoot of Godzilla like SpaceGodzilla.
More 90s than 90s Spacegodzilla.
Splendid chap, all of them.
Shin is the coolest and scariest
This right here. Zila 2000
the one from destroyah
>talk to friends and family about Godzilla
>all they know was the Matthew Broderick film
Mine too.
(Great picture by the way)
This
Oo, seconding this.
I remember a certain video game magazine back in 1998 (don't know if I first read it in 1998 but it must've been very close) that for some reason had more than just stuff about MK4 and used at least two pages to talk about 1998 Godzilla. It's definitely a part of 90s pop culture, at least the marketing campaign, so people remember it well. The article was pretty smug too basically laughing at "old rubber thing with an alarm siren voice" and how it's going to the trashbin because there's a new and improved Godzilla. Something like that. Well history proved them wrong. And it will be even better every year with the original movies being so widely available right now. It's becoming pretty mainstream now.
All of them. Zilla is love.
Why is he so smug?
Is it true that younger Japanese audiences went out of the theaters crying after seeing ‘54?
based Giganchad
Agreed. Shitty story throughout but when the real Godzilla woke up, it was great. Compared to all other Godzilla movies this one best depicts how massive it is.

Did suit acting conditions ever improve?
It's so funny. I hated that one until they made him a separate Kaiju who had his ass handed to him. Now I'd like to see him show up again.
