The real question is.....
The real question is
Souless vs soul
Every ride at Universal sprays you with water. That whole “wet fart” part in Shrek 4-D is totally unnecessary
Is Universal soul full of 4D rides?
It’s a shame when Kongfrontation, Back to the Future, and Jaws were legit.
What happened?
i love when Shrek ejaculates all over me in 4D
disney for kids, uni for all around movie fans
uni horror museum is a must
All the cool kids love minions. Plus if they are addicted to screens all day why not make a ride with a bigger one.
Assuming we’re including Islands of Adventure here, Universal if going solo, but Disney with a friend/date.
Uni backlot needs to have something new. That is not another screen ride based off its ip.
Is express pass worth it? I'm planning on going after the parks open again.
Universal Studios Hollywood when all the original rides were up was peak fucking entertainment. T2, Back to the Future, Backdraft, the tram tour before the fire, Jurassic Park back when they gave a damn and half the attraction wasn't fucking broken. Hell, I even give The Mummy ride a pass.
I never got to go to the Florida park back when all the cool stuff was around. I really wanted to ride Kongfrontation and check out Jaws
Honestly, I never went for it and didn’t have a problem. Haven’t been to Islands recently, but the wait times at Universal were pretty tame for the first couple hours the park is open. Gringott’s maxed out at 2 hours mid day, but I got on in 10 minutes single rider an hour after opening. Just do what I did and befriend a handicapped fella while you’re there, boom no lines no waiting front row all day.
Jaws was based when your feet hurt from walking around all day
Finally, another theme park thread! How about this hot take?
Tokyo Disney or Universal Studios Japan?
Yeah I can't believe they got rid of so many rides. My childhood ruined.
Tokyo Disney Sea
Disney has more good parts, but Universal's Harry Potter world is the best area out of both of them. All in all I would rather go to Disney.
You ever go during Halloween Horror Nights? I heard that express pass helps a lot for that.
Is this unironically Disney's greatest attraction ever?
Tokyo Disney.
youtu.be
>Screen Wars
Yeah, no. Try Mt. Based
The better Star Wars attraction doesn't even respect care about canon
youtu.be
Wrong again, try Flights of Basedage.
>new destination is just two gloomy, humid planets
There is no imagination in the sequels
>yet another screenulator
Zoomers have no taste in good rides.
Is it just me, or are the randomized planets and characters predominately Sequel trilogy now? I remember there used to be a better mix of PT and OT content before, but I swear all I get is BB-8, Kylo, and Krait now.
Oh yeah, you definitely want a fast pass for HHN if you want to go in every house. I went about 10 years ago and every single one ended up with a 2 hour wait minimum.
Dickhead, you have no idea about this ride until you've been on it. I laughed when I heard faggots who cried after riding it, but it's actually a cool experience.
>every single one ended up with a 2 hour wait minimum
That's ridiculous, especially when the houses aren't open all day.
FPBP
Universal has it's flaws but the Wizarding World is peak fucking soul and Disney tried and failed to replicate it by shitting themselves with Galaxy's Edge.
Flight of Passage is extremely overrated in my opinion. Maybe it’s because everyone hyped it up to me so much, but I was very disappointed, especially after a 2.5 hour line.
They were exclusively using sequel scenes when the movies were new. Idk if they loosened up afterwards
Tokyo Disneysea is the greatest amusement park ever built.
Besides Knoebels
Unironically Avatarland is a better competitor to Wizardworld
Well how else are they supposed to sell the new trilogy. Last time I went it was a mix of PT , OT and ST. But this was a year ago. I enjoy having Naboo or Geonosis as the final planet though. Until they end up during the high republic era it'll all be sequel.
>2.5 hour line
you fucked up, my dude
that's real fucking lame
Were any worth it?
Universal is garbage. Disney is iconic.
>Shitty boat ride
>Soarin but slightly better
>Shitty food
>Shitty land from a shitty movie hardly anyone remembers
I worked as a third party tour guide for a year at Disney and Universal and I still have both of my passes. All the families I took around were hardly impressed with Pandora besides FoP. Meanwhile I had people actually tear up walking into Diagon Alley.
IIRC they keep it open until the early morning, but you’ll still want the pass. Also, look into the ticket addon that lets you go into Universal before the event starts, you end up getting into HHN itself a little earlier than everyone else.
Theme parks are trash
>avatarland
what's even there besides a gay floating mountain?
I said it was better, not good. If anyone gave a shit about avatar, pandora would be seen as better than suck wars
>10 year old series that has delayed it's next four films several times
>20 year old series with numerous sequels, 2 spin off with 4 more planned, book material expanding not just film but original books as well, Lego
Saw and Leave it to Cleaver were pretty rad. The quality of effects from house to house varies greatly, but overall it’s worth going at least once for the experience, especially if there are a few houses you are particularly interested in. They also keep some of the rides open most of the night and they never had a line if you need a break.
Thinking about it I do guess Pandora is prettier than Galaxy's Edge.
Not him, but I've been on Flight of Passage and it is really cool for a screen ride. I was really impressed with how they simulated the creature breathing and all that, but at the end of the day it's still just a screen ride. You can still see other people sitting next to you looking at a screen in your periphery while sitting on something that's barely moving. It's a really cool experience and I loved going on it, but I would absolutely take Expedition Everest over FoP any day of the week.
Any favorite house?
The amount of content a franchise has doesn't determine how good a land can be. Look how badly Disney fucked up with Galaxy's Edge and Star Wars has WAY more source material to go off of than HP. Also just about everything in the HP lands are stuff featured in the first book? Diagon Alley, Hogwarts, Forbidden Forest, and Hogsmeade. If they were only using Philosophers Stone then some things may be changed but the overall land design they went with were all from the very first book. A land being shite has more to do with the imagineers than the franchise they are adapting.
I have been looking at the rumored houses this year and would like to go. They seem to be more focused on original houses than IP. I just hope this year is no purge anything if I go.
But which one is more beloved and talked about. Compared to the one only talked about every four months when there is news of it being delayed again. Plus isn't Gringotts and Forbidden Forest well into the trio years at Hogwarts.
gringotts and forbidden forest are in the first book, the trio don't got to hogsmeade until prisoner of azkaban, although it might've been mentioned before then
No. All that is in the very first book and film. Also as I said the popularity of a franchise or how much content it has to adapt doesn't matter. Once again look how Disney fucked up Star Wars of all things, then compare it to how fucking SOULful Cars Land is in Anaheim. Cars is significantly less popular than Star Wars but it's still a way more impressive land despite being simpler.
But story wise they are not the age they were in the first three books. Gringotts even seems to take place during Deathly Hallows. youtu.be
Yes
They’ve done Purge shit to death between Orlando and Hollywood, so you should be fine. Good taste though, the IP houses were mostly “member this scene?”. Even though I have a big hardon for Saw, 80% of the house was traps from the movies but the finale was 10/10.
I understand that. That's why I said earlier the content would change but the overall lands would not. If they were adapting JUST the first book Gringotts would still be there but the story of the ride would change to match the first book.
Overrated/Underrated is an opinion on other's opinions, learn to think for yourself user.
Thats not Space Mountain or tower of terror.
How are there not motion detectors that immediately locate him?
because he's a Disney paid viral marketer
Disney because they have the queen of Yas Forums
Don’t trust people who prefer Disney parks to Cedar Point or their local equivalent
What if a Disney park is my local equivalent?
>Don’t trust people who prefer Disney parks to Cedar Point or their local equivalent
okay
Based.
>What if a Disney park is my local equivalent?
Cali: Knotts, Six Flags
Fl: Seaworld, Busch Gardens
France: Asterix
Hong Kong: Ocean World
Japan: Universal
Bugland:...?
Depends on the ratio of cutesy overpriced photo-op bullshit vs shit you can actually do
When will Disney world reopen? I'm going to visit my wife there.
I really hope that Sabrania and Haunting Of Hill House are good when I go this year. You think Hoffman is beast enough to chew his own foot? I know leaks for spiral show he is dead.
>not courting her sister
lame desu
I’ll rephrase for you then: I didn’t care for it, and it’s far from something I would ride again. The motion was so-so and I was fully aware I was looking at a screen the whole time, personally it did not immerse me nearly as much as other rides.
Universal Florida used to be absolutely amazing in the late 90s/early 00s.
Universal Studios obviously, at least when I went there as a kid. Comfy universal monsters decor. Special effects show with Chucky's severed head. Jaws ride. Classic Jurassic Park ride.
Wizarding world is pure kino, but so is Pandora at animal kingdom
What an ugly little gremlin. You don’t really appreciate what a gross little disgusting thing she is until you see a picture like this.
No minions. No Trolls. Actual iconic rides based off good ip.
>Billie Eillish
How does that work?
Any back pain from the seating? Also would you say I should just run for it at opening?
A house based on her popular songs or based off a new one made specially for HHN.
She shows up and smothers u with her fat tiddies
Rude
