Disneyland (China)
look at that soulless monstrosity of a castle
Which one is which?
Whats the difference?
Disneyland is the little park in California. Disney World is a 40 square mile compound with four theme parks, two water parks, a downtown shopping district and over 17 resorts.
I see. Never noticed the "World" or "Land" differences until you guys pointed it out.
This
Disneyland could fit into one of Walt Disney World's parking lots
Disneyland is SOUL
Disney world is SOULLESS
spotted the Californian
Up until now, I never even knew these were two different things
SoCal passholes wished they had Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. While Disneyland park itself is obviously superior to Magic Kingdom, the sum of the Disney World experience far exceeds anything you can get in the slums of Anaheim.
I can't wait for these monuments to Gog and Magog to crumble.
WDW is cheaper than Disneyland, and has more stuff
Animal Kingdom has the Avatar ride that is beyond next gen and routinely makes people pass out
DISNEYYYYYY
>Disneyland park itself is obviously superior to Magic Kingdom
Because they still have Mr. Toads wild ride?
That's a good enough reason for me
I hate nuDisney, but the pure american soul of main street USA and the sense of adventure the parks give is astounding. How did he do it bros?
You failed to mention it's in mad max meth land i.e. florida
>How did he do it bros?
He just put consumerism and adrenaline together
Disney world has more stuff, but I can't go there without feeling sorrow every time I think of how they have massacred EPCOT.
same. i always thought it was the only one in florida and a failed one in france
soul
soulless
Literally pheromones pumped in from underground.
>t. ex cast member
Does anyone ever actually buy the photos at the end of rides?
Imagine going on a rollercoaster in fucking China, holy shit, you must hate every part of your body.
>tfw have never been to any disney park
>have to be quiet anytime they come up because if you admit to never having been people look at you like a freak because it’s such a universal american experience
I've only been to World, but I feel spoiled because I'm off put by how small Land is. I like the stuff exclusive to Disney World, but in terms of duplicate rides, World doesn't have the better version of anything. I guess that's the balancing act, otherwise the other parks would be useless if World had the best of everything.
I've worked at Legoland, and for sure can confirm, for even smaller parks people for sure buy pictures at the end of the rides.
I lived in Orlando all my life and go to WDW frequently. I went to Disneyland last March and that park blew WDW out of the fucking water. All the rides are better, less waste of space rides (like 90% of Epcot and Animal Kingdom) and also way better fucking food.
Disney World abuts Windermere, which has some of the most expensive homes in the county. Step one foot out of Disneyland and you're surrounded by homeless heroin addicts.
Gf got a package last time that got all of those plus a ton of others at per-designated locations
It was part of a deal with park hopper passes and staying at the park
Nothing comfy about parks where children get abducted for ritual sacrifice and organ harvesting.
The true answer is... Knott's.
Been to both, Disneyland is trash
>All the rides are better
There Pirates is objectively better, WDW's Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain are superior to Disneyland's, the rest are virtually identical. Also DHS still has the original kino Tower of Terror and our Fantasmic has actual seating.
Disney makes sure that shits up to American code
Most people who go to Disney are huge paypigs prepared to empty their life savings for Bob Iger. The exception are the black and hispanic locals who get cheap seasonal passes.
>World doesn't have the better version of anything
Better Fantasmic
WDW didn't re-skin Tower of Terror into Guardians of the Galaxy
So that's what they're using this building for.
World
Anaheim makes Disneyland seem claustrophobic
Freaking love how atmospheric the 7 seas lagoon and Bay Lake are. Also how you can walk through the Boardwalk between Hollywood Studios and Epcot
WDW has Fort Wilderness with tent camping in the park that is super cheap
It includes all of the deals for staying in the park
I know, I worked at Fort Wilderness actually. Everything else is still insanely expensive and it's pretty sad what people are willing to spend because they've been sold Disney World all their lives as some kind of dream experience.
Space mountain at WDW smacks your fucking balls around and is absolute shit. SPM at DL is way fucking better and has kino music. Also Splash Mountain at DL has that small scene of the female bunnies singing about how Br'er Rabbit is going to die and that makes it just a bit better.
my man!
No need, you can just take a picture of the photo previews on the screen
I've never liked Disney, even as a kid, but I've been doing these drawing tutorials by a Disney animator named Michael Woodside. His knowledge and interest in all things Disney is really infectious. He talks about how he'd go to Disneyland as often as possible while growing up and would pester people on the animation tour about how to get a job there. He can rattle off about trivia or the history of a certain character and all the wonderful people who put a lot of blood sweat and tears into making them come alive. I used to hate Disney, but now I really respect them, or at least I respect their animation team, that is.
Land is more charming and cozy than Magic Kingdom, but Animal/Epcot/Studios are infinitely better than California Adventure. So World resort > Land resort.
It's one thing if you genuinely want the camping experience. But if you're going to the campground because it's "cheap", then you're too poor to go to WDW in the first place. Like seriously, if you can't afford the All-Star hotels, don't bother going desu senpai
>babby can't handle a real roller coaster
Disneyland's is basically "gentle sloping down Mountain."
I've been to both US parks
Once you get there, WDW is the cheaper of the 2
And I love Fort Wilderness; it's like going back in time to the 1950s. They still have "problematic" stuff in the Hoop Dee Do Review
What did you do there?
Nah, Magic Kingdom's isn't smooth. And Land's music is kino.
if you want a real budget trip you just sleep in your car and eat the free toppings at Peco Bill's. If you're starving, just pull a dirty plate out of the trash and walk up to a counter and say that someone bumped into you and spilled your entree and they'll give you a new one.
I worked in the quick service restaurant at the main resort building. It was cozy as fuck, and I miss the place. Everyone I worked with was extremely friendly and helpful. My manager drove an hour and a half to give me a free couch because I had no furniture. I eventually transferred out to the ice cream parlor on Main Street and it was never the same.
>muh balls
Plus Magic Kingdom has the Alpha and Omega side, effectively two intertwined coasters. Plus the Peoplemover actually works and goes inside of it.
/out/ist here
>camping experience
>Fort Wilderness
Choose one
It's like Disney's KOA
>if you can't afford the All-Star hotels, don't bother going
>If it can't be the best, don't do it at all
This makes no sense
Have you tried that to see if it works?
You jest, but it's ethnicantics like this that make me wish it were more expensive to visit. It's gotten crazy in the last decade. And don't get me started on the "locals" in Anaheim and Brazilian school/sports trips in Orlando.
The all-stars are the cheep ones.
I'd rather just visit Neuschwanstein than subject my eyes to that consumerist crap.
All the time. I've even flirted with obviously gay CM's for free food.
what kind of rides do they have there?
Kick ass, I should try that one day.
Crockett's Tavern?
I've sat at that bar many times
Fort Wilderness is a different place compared to the rest of the parks
I know you won't need yours, but some people will.
If you can only afford $60 a night to sleep in a tent at Disney, and $115 is out of your budget, then you probably shouldn't go to Disney.
To me, the Disney parks are by far and away the only good thing about Disney nowadays, and they are an amazing thing. I'm scared they'll soon turn to shit like everything else Disney.
god california and florida pirates is a classic but it gets mogged so hard by the new one in china, I can't think of a way its coming to america without replacing one of the old ones which will cause a shitstorm
Last time we went Fort Wilderness was half the cost of the next cheapest hotel
And it is way closer to the Magic Kingdom and monorail to Epcot
>I'm scared they'll soon turn to shit like everything else Disney.
See undesirable clientele and poorfags:
I once fingerbanged a midwestern girl in the arcade there
The original pirates vs Shanghai pirates is quintessential SOUL vs SOULLESS
None that have a 3 hour line.
engineerfag here, it's not that hard to make a rollercoaster. there's a reason why not many people have died on them. You'd have to go out of your way for it to kill people
I know, I like fort wilderness, I was just correcting you saying
>If it can't be the best, don't do it at all
I assure you the all stars are not the best, not even close.
>If you can only afford $60 a night to sleep in a tent at Disney, and $115 is out of your budget, then you probably shouldn't go to Disney.
If I spend less money on lodging, I can stay longer and spend more money on food and drinks
Compared to backpacking in the mountains, tent camping at Disney is peak comfy
They are turning into shit. The disney parks are adding almost no new content that has to do with actual disney animated films. Their animated movies are completely ignored now when they used to take center stage at the parks.
The disney parks are being overrun with star wars and marvel. its disgusting, all they're doing is trying to appeal to the manchild toy collector demographic.
Disney World has always been accessible and full of foreigners, I've never found it bothersome. If anything what I can see Disney doing is cutting costs and increasing ticket prices, slowly but surely turning it into a mediocre, overpriced park.
I feel like theres a strong chance that if the characters were park OCs you would be saying otherwise, theres just so much oomph in the new one, yeah the old one's fun and has a lot of great practical effects but just look at it
youtube.com
Disneyland, because I went there multiple times growing up.
Disneyworld is cool but I only went there once in high school so the nostalgia isn't as deep.
Love em both.
I agree. Galaxy's Edge is a complete tragedy and a good indicator of what's coming.
Toy Story Land opened at WDW in 18, but you are not wrong
You are aware that the first Star Wars attraction at a Disney park opened in 1987?
They are going to shit quickly. The magic kingdom and Hollywood studios seem to be ignoring the branding which is where it should be focused and fucking EPCOT which should have little to no Disney movie branding is getting fucked in the ass with licensed garbage. In a couple year EPCOT will lose everything that made it special in the first place.
