tv is not really big nowadays, zoomers spend most of their time on mobile phones and computers so they don't really need to watch tv shows.
i'm also willing to bet talent that would usually go to those classic cartoons is nowadays going to streaming platforms, since they are much bigger than any tv channel.
combine all this with the fact that writing today is not an important part of anything anymore and has given way to wow factors, and the result is that nobody bothers to make good cartoons.

Comparing only the early 2000s cartoons such as Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, etc to those in the bottom pane they are simply better animated and better written. Go and watch an episode of Cow and Chicken and then watch an episode of any of the bottom three and tell me honestly they aren't better.

There are great cartoons in the top pane like the Flintstones and Space Ghost, but the Cartoon Cartoons are in all honesty not very good.

I'm keeping an objective view I loved those cartoons as a child, but they don't hold up as an adult whereas those from the golden age; Looney Toons, early Disney still hold up. A show like Adventure Time will stand the test of time and continue in reruns in the future. Whereas the Cartoon Cartoons won't.

That's not exactly true. They just have way more options to watch then we did as kids. They don't watch cartoons all the time cause there's other stuff they could watch too.

What gets me is that the cartoons on the bottom are on average better quality than the ones on top, which includes some classics, but on the other hand who really thinks that Hanna-Barbara Scooby-Doo is all that?

AT, RS and GB are all easily as good as anything in the top image and the only people who'd think otherwise are those who haven't watched them or just dismiss them as 'zoomer' shows.
