I'm obsessed. I can't get it out of my head. I've watched it every day for the last three days since my first time on Monday. What is it about this movie that stuck to my brain with a vice grip?
I'm obsessed. I can't get it out of my head...
her fat ass in those sweats nigga
The dishonesty resonates with your reddit mentality.
first post based post
>y do i liek??
Fuck off, brainlet.
It's an attractive film and watching based trads btfo of entitled westerners is great.
Its boring and sniffs its own farts.
a most opportune appreciation, consider this thread concluded
based. that chad was dumb I would kill for a clingy hot blonde like her
Yeah at least it doesn't tongue it's own ass like you faggot say that about my movie again and I'll stuff you in a
I watched this in the theater last summer and really liked it. It’s a perfect summer movie. A week later I went to see Once upon a time in Hollywood. Those were the best theater experiences I had in years.
>suddenly, reddit!
>out of fucking nowhere!
>being angry because "le secwet cwub" is no longer secwet!
Here's how it is, friendo. You're not going to like it, but all I offer is the truth. You can not stop the oncoming tide of what you perceive to be "le randum post-millennial newfag summercancer tourists" from coming to this site. Or any site. Or any nation. Ever. Our numbers are too strong.
What you CAN do, however, is this. You can take a giant step back from yourself and ask, "all this crying about the past, all this whining about the present and all this despair for the future - does it make me a genuinely happy person? Does my knowledge of the idiocracy enlighten me? Does it hold me and reassure me on a cold night?" Chances are, everyone who desperately clings to the "good old days", the answers to these questions probably aren't what you would refer to as "positive". Chances are, you probably fucking HATE yourself. Why don't you do something that distracts you from your smug, arrogant self-righteousness, for a change?
Take up a hobby. Take a walk. Lift. Oh, you'd be surprised how much better you feel, after a few weeks of doing a nice, light weights program to get those joints and muscles moving. Maybe then there'd be less of you insipid, whining cunts making posts like this.
We are memes. We are fun. We are Colbert Drumphcookies dipped in Rick & Morty's szechuan sauce with a side of Pickle Rick. We are the NEW Yas Forums! Midnight narwhal bacon for LIFE.
leave my man Chris out of this
Should I watch this movie? Why?
No.
she was cute in this movie.
It's unique. Interestingly and beautifully shot. Unironically makes you think. Doesn't appeal to the common denominator. Realistically written script. Well acted. I love it.
It's entertaining and has a few wild scenes. worth checking out if you've got nothing better to watch.
Isn't this just a worse pic related?
Name one film about cults, that's better than The Wicker Man. Go ahead. I can wait. And who the fuck are YOU to decide that there can only ever be one film about cults, anyway? Go fuck yourself with a cactus, you cunt.
Like "mother!", It's a really fun flick with no substance. Would watch it again I guess

Reddit.
This is the chick that's seeing Zach Braff, right? She just posted a vid of her telling off people who were giving her shit for going out with him.
Eyes wide shut.
You need to chill tf out man
Needed at least 30 minutes cut. I'd take out the other american characters entirely and make the Swedish guy and the boyfriend best friends who have been planning this trip not for a few months but for YEARS. Cut the shrooms scene too, you'd be pretty manageable from there.
Glad I wasn't the only one user. When I first watched Midsommar in theaters last July, I remember not assuming much prior then getting swept up in it for at least the next week or two. I'm can't explain why I got obsessed with it but the cinematography, music and overall aesthetic stand out. Straight up spent most of that period thinking about the movie and looking up discussion/memes online. I saw it again two more times in theaters then one last when director's cut came out. Unpopular opinion but it was my 2019 MOTY
Most films are. Genuinely one of the best films ever made.
>Realistically written script.
>Well acted.
were you watching a different movie? you best be trolling
Except it aged poorly. The main character is so far removed from modern culture it seems almost like a cartoon.
The awkward and vague dialogue is so creepily realistic for how bad relationships go though. And yeah I thought the cast did pretty well. Where were the hickups?
So what? He's still a compelling character and Woodward delivers an excellent performance. There's nothing in the character that's unbelievable even if you don't know anyone like him. The idea that he doesn't fuck the hot chick seriously breaks your suspension of disbelief? Retard.
>There's nothing in the character that's unbelievable
How out of touch are you
What's unbelievable about him? That he's a fairly serious Christian? Just because he doesn't represent a large portion of the current population doesn't make him unbelievable you fucking retard. Most people aren't loner psychopaths is Travis Bickle unbelievable?
Bjorn Andresen was relentlessly handsome.
>"sorry i forgot your birthday" dialogue is realistic and not the most contrived cliche bullshit imaginable
>the embarrassingly retarded "my thesis" argument is not a lazy and painfully obvious attempt to introduce dramatic tension between protags
>cast of american characters with british accents
like open your eyes, listen with your ears, i don't know what else to tell you jfc
Thanks I'll watch it
Are you on drugs, son?
it's my fav movie of 2019. fuck the haters.
on rewatch is when i noticed how fucking HOT she is. FUGG
>cast of american characters with british accents
the fuck are you talking about? there were two brits in the movie.
kek
Its literally just a worse Hereditary.
baste
very true. Hereditary was fucking exceptional. This was just pretty good.
It's worse than hereditary but in both plot and theme it's not really similar.
I saw this movie first and immediately sought out Hereditary. While I liked it, and it was very effective, it felt formulaic and I didn't get a lot out of it. Midsommar actually had some meat to it. Some substance that warranted further thought or discussion. Just better shots in it too.
Man I feel the complete opposite. Midsommar is just a good teen summer horror, Hereditary tackles mental illness really well and is also just more entertaining imo

Bet you wont soijak this post
Midsommar is just fight club for women, shitsux
hi
Good cinematography, colors/lighting/scenery were spot on, captured natural beauty while depicting raw features. Disturbing content balanced in a calm, peaceful nature, much like the activities of the cult.
Absolute retards
someone post that ass let me see...
Take your medication
Reddit likes A24 films. What's with this constant psy op of redditors trying to make it seem like other people are redditors?
a lot of good cult kino, mostly from the 30s-70s though, you wouldn't know any of it desu.
