As much I don't like the idea of crossgender regeneration I would like to read a montage story of a timelord couple who meet once in their first body and fall in love but they're split up and every time they meet up they're not in the right body to enjoy a relationship with each other until the end. Could be sweet, a little tragic. Might add some fucking gravity to crossgender regens since they've been played up quite lightly since they were introduced.

I've always imagined that when The Doctor flies his TARDIS, the console is designed so that the levers and buttons do whatever he thinks they should do even if what he thinks they do changes all the time.
