A year, I gues. They have the script, but they need to build new sets and create any new puppets. Please filming takes a long time.

I think season 1 took two years to make, one year of filming and the rest in pre and post production. But they were learning how to make this show as they were doing it so next time round should be quite a bit faster.

And seeing that the show took liberties for Mal's character, and Li and Sa has yet to appear in the show, even tho they are an active party within the story in the novel, they might also take liberties in case of UrSan, and perhaps the other Mystics as well in term of appearances
